"Sean, kakauwi mo lang son?"

I saw Dad on the living room. He was watching something on our television. I think it is a documentary na hindi ko alam kung about saan. Sinilip ko and I figured out that it is some sort of a health-related documentary. And speaking of health, I am always checking on it especially on my Dad's. Sabi ng nurse niya, he is continuously healing and he is getting better.

"Yes Dad." Nagmano ako sa kanya. "How are you?"

"I'm fine son. Don't worry about me. Actually, I can feel that I am getting stronger."

"Have you took your medicines? You must not skip your medications Dad. We all want you to get better."

"I am getting better son. Wag mo na akong alalahanin. Don't worry, I won't be a burden. Just focus on your studies okay?" Dad told me.

"Yes Dad."

After talking to Dad, nagpunta muna ako ng kwarto ko. I studied for a while and of course, I checked on my girlfriend. She is currently having her in-house internship and I hope she is doing fine there. I plan to see her tomorrow. We've just celebrated our 4th year anniversary and we are both doing fine.

We are both happy with each other and we both hope na sana magtagal pa kami. I plan to keep her forever. She's one of the persons I can't lose. Kasi ayaw ko. Kasi hindi ko kaya.

She's one of my great treasures.

And she will always be my strength, my pride and my happiness.

I went down for dinner after studying. The year is about to end and I want to graduate as a Summa Cum Laude. That's my greatest goal in life. I did everything to maintain my grades and I really worked hard. In life, hindi natin maaabot ang mga bagay na gusto natin sa isang kisapmata. Walang instant sa mundo. Lahat ng bagay ay pinaghihirapan. Lahat ng bagay ay pinagsisikapan.

We reap what we sow.

Perseverance will always be a great value.

"Where's Mom?" I saw him alone kaya I asked Mom's whereabouts.

"She called me and may overtime meeting daw sila. They are settling some things with Martinez Builders, our newest client about the La Estrella condominium ."

"Martinez? Is it Rachelle's family?"

"Yes. Upo ka na. Sabay na tayong kumain." Dad told me.

Umupo ako sa tabi niya. Nasa center siya ng long table while the helpers are serving our meal. Our house is big pero malungkot. Sometimes I could feel the emptiness pero mabuti nalang at nandito si Dad. He never failed to make me happy.

In the future, I also want a house like this. Siguro, hindi na rin gaanong malaki cause I know the feeling of being lonely.

"How are you and Rish? It's been a long time. Hindi ko na siya nakukumusta."

"She's busy with her internship. Hindi ko rin naman siya maistorbo kapag minsan cause she is so focused with her studies. I'm so proud of her Dad." I smiled on my Dad.

"Take care of that girl. I really want her for you. She could make you happy and that's more than enough, son. Besides, you two look great together." Dad said.
