"Hey, are you alright? You seem bothered?"

Ryseann brought back my attention. Hindi ko na namalayang nawawala naman pala ako sa focus. Kung saan saan nanaman nakarating ang isipan ko. Ugh! Bakit ba kasi hindi ako mapakali? I think it's normal lang naman since I really have a bad feeling about my Mom. I could really sense that something off about her is happening.

We are currently reviewing kasi malapit nanaman ang exams namin. Malapit nanaman ang Christmas Break at halos hindi ko na napapansin ang bilis ng araw dahil sa dami ng aming ginagawa. Malapit na akong sumabak niyan sa aking In-House Internship kaya mas magiging busy pa ako lalo.

"W-wala." I smiled. "Iniisip ko lang itong Management Accounting. Medyo struggle ako eh." I tried to look casual.

"Patingin nga."

"Huy! Kaya ko na yan, promise. Focus ka nalang sa nirereview mo, okay?" I smiled.

"Promise? I could help you. Pwede nating aralin yan." He smiled.

"Kaya ko na to. Ako pa, you know that there is nothing that I can't do."

"That's my Ice Bear."

Well, that's a lie. I was occupied by my thoughts about Mom. These past days, weeks and months I was bothered by her actions. Matagal ko na siyang pinagmamasdan and something is really off. Madalas siyang umuuwi ng gabi tapos palaging may kausap through phone. Minsan nag-aaway sila ni Dad but they won't open up. I tried asking Kuya if he was noticing it but he just told me na normal lang yun sa mag-asawa.

But I could really sense that something fishy is happening.

"Saan ka niyan mag-iintern?" Ryseann asked.

"Uhm... maybe sa company nalang namin. Then of course, I'll try other hotels as well. Marami namang partners sina Dad."

"Take care there, okay. Don't make yourself tired or stressed." He reminded me.

I hold his hands and I nodded. These past days, I was really becoming tired. Dumadagdag pa sa isipan ko ang mga nangyayari sa bahay. I just really hope that it was nothing. I have a hint that my mom is seeing someone. That he might be cheating on my Dad. Thinking about that destroys me. But I really hope na hindi.

Kasi kapag nagkataon, hindi ko alam kung kakayanin ko.

"Wag mo akong iiwan Ryseann, ha..." I am almost tearing up.

"Babe, may problema ka ba? Is something wrong?"

He was worried and I could see it through his eyes. Umiling-iling ako sa kanya and I cupped his face. I don't want him to get worried about me. We are graduating students and as much as possible, I don't want to add up to his burdens. He really wanted to end up as a Summa Cum Laude. Ayaw kong maging distraction sa kanya. All I want him to do right now is to study hard and focus on his goals.

Sharing my problems with him is the least thing I wanted to do.

"Nothing. I am fine. Promise." I smiled sweetly.

"Babe, if something's wrong. I wanted you to know that I am always here. I am a good listener. You have me and you are never alone."

"Thank you." I smiled.

"Aral na tayo. Ayaw mo ba talaga ng tulong ko? Pwede naman kitang tulungan muna."

"Thanks for the offer. I'll take note of that, okay. But for now, study your lessons first then if you have a spare time, saka nalang ako magpapatulong. Right now, I want you to focus on your studies first."
