The RavenStark Quest: Awakening

CHAPTER7: MAGIC AND MORE MAGIC

It was one of the most important mornings of our lives. We got up early as no one could sleep any longer with our heads filled with so many questions unanswered.

"It does gonna be one hell of a journey, isn't it?" Peter said walking through the door.

"Where have you been, Peter?"

"Just was taking a stroll around the building. And the walls are all embedded with that phoenix symbol." Peter said looking around.

"Yeah, why wouldn't be, it's the symbol of the RavenStark, I guess " Christina said as she folded her bed covers and mine.

"Where's Theo? Isn't he with you Pete?" I asked looking around to spot him.

"No. The last time I saw, he was snoring so badly that I had to sleep on the couch." Peter said shrugging.

"Ha! Is it?" Christina said laughing.

"No I don't snore at all" Theo said coming through the door. "Come on Pete you had to sleep in the couch because you had to creep up to the kitchen to get late night snacks.'' He said smiling.

"Where have you been Theo?" I asked

"Just went to see If we are given breakfast or should we do magic to get that too." He said chuckling.

"Do you really think we could eat breakfast after having loads of food yesterday?" Christina laughed.

"I could." Peter said with an innocent smug.

We were all having a good time, just then a few minutes later we heard footsteps. There was a slight knock on our door. We stopped laughing and went downstairs from our room to see who it was. Theo opened the door and there stood a boy looking just our age .He was dressed in simple casual clothes, a pair of jeans and a simple shirt with the same phoenix symbol embroidered on the edge of the collar. He was fair, short trimmed hair and a happy but serious look on his face.

"I am Drake, Drake Removia." He said extending his hand.

"Hey, I am Elizabeth Harlow. You can call me Liz." I said shaking his hand.

"Yeah, I know. You look stunning." He said. "I mean, um, you guys are just like a legacy over here. Olisen talks about you all the time. "

"Thanks?" I said playing with my hair.

"Hey, I am Peter Laughlin." Pete extended out his hand follewd by Christina and Theo.

"Nice to meet you, I am Christina Carlow."

"And I am Theodore Fronker, you can call me Theo."

"Us? Why would Olisen talk about us?"I asked baffled after everyone had introduced each other.

"Well, that's not my place to say. He is waiting for you at the RavenStark official building." he said excited.

"But, we haven't had breakfast yet. Our stomachs are rumbling ", Pete said rubbing his stomach with his hands.

"Oh, I am so sorry for my manners. What would you like to eat? And don't worry we have some pretty delicious foods over here too." Drake said.

"Actually you know what, food can wait. We should probably get going." I said more curious than ever. I could not believe I was saying this but suddenly some adrenaline kicked inside me to know more about this place. I had this sudden stupid urge to know why we were here in this whole new world.

"Okay then, as you say. Get ready as soon as you can, I will be waiting outside for you guys. And bring the ring along with you." Drake said walking out the door.

As soon as Drake left the room, "What were you thinking?" All three of them said in a union.

"What? We did not come here for food, did we?" I said.

"Lizzy, I really extol your probity. But, our body doesn't know that", Peter said putting a hand around my shoulder.

"Ew, Peter. Come on lets go." I said dragging him out of the room followed by Chris.

"What happened to her? Yesterday she was the least interested person and now she is the most excited one?" Chris muttered and followed behind.

"I guess there's no stopping her now, huh?" Theo said following.
