Isinukbit ko na bag sa balikat ko at kumuha ng dalawang sandwich na gawa ni Mama sa lamesa. Tapos na akong mag-almusal at kukuhanin ko na lang ito para kung sakaling magutom man ako sa kalagitnaan ng klase ay may makakain ako. Palabas na ako ng bahay nang makasalubong ko si Mama.

I'm direct to the point and I won't have a second thought to say an insult. Maldita at pranka ako, hindi ko iyan itatanggi. May mga ilang sitwasyon din na masungit at mataray ako. Depende sa taong kaharap ko.

If you treat me right then I'll treat you better, but if you treat me bad, then don't cry in my insults.

"Ma, I need go." paalam ko sa kanya pagkatapos siyang halikan sa pisngi. Papa is already in their room and preparing. Ang bagal talaga ni Papa. Mama always needs to wait for him. Siya ay ayos na ayos na at pag-alis na lang din ang kulang.

"I forgot to tell you last night since you fall asleep early that we'll have dinner in the mansion tonight. You need to go home before five to prepare." mabilis akong natigilan sa sinabi ni Mama. Normal niya iyong sinabi kagaya ng mga nauna na ipinapaalam niya sa akin ang ganito.

Nakikita ko na lang na nakuha niya na ang mga bagay na gusto ko. I hate it. So damn much that I really want to break this tradition but how? If I'm still powerless. How can I break a heavy and tall wall if I'm just a small hammer? Baka ako lang ang masira kung susubukan ko.

Mama smiled at me sadly. Sa ngiti niya palang na iyon. Alam ko na agad ang sagot at bumagsak ang balikat ko.

"You know we can't Hyacinth. We must be in every dinner. Rejecting their invitation is---"

"Urging to fight the family." That's pretty bullshit. Gusto kong idugtong kaso hindi ko na ginawa. I don't want my Mom to be worried. She's vulnerable.
