Chapter 6 - Behind Blue Eyes

I got woken up to the sound of someone knocking on something. I wasn't impressed, for the moment I picked my head off the pillow, it started throbbing.

I glanced over at Karsyn's bed and noticed she was still sleeping. Obviously I was dreaming about someone knocking.

I slowly sat up, one hand holding my head as I pulled the bed covers off my body and sighed. I was still wearing the clothes I'd worn out the night before.

In fact, I didn't even remember coming back to our room, let alone going to bed.

I climbed out of bed and stumbled towards the bathroom, desperately needing water. I ran the tap for a few minutes before shamelessly leaning down and gulping water from the stream. I grabbed the hand towel and wiped my face as I heard it again.

Someone knocking on the door.

"Damn housekeeping can fuck off," I muttered as I walked out the bathroom and towards the door. I swung it open, ready to give housekeeping a peace of my mind, but froze when I saw Donnie standing there.

"AH finally.. someone answers the damn door. Been knocking for the last hour."

I looked at him, all cheery and bright at.. what the fuck was the time? I frowned, realising I didn't know before looking up at Donnie.
"What's the time?"

Donnie chuckled. "9 a.m. We're leaving for Manchester. I just wanted to give you this.." He handed me an envelope. ".. and see how your head was."

"My head?"

"You don't remember, do you?"

Instantly my stomach flipped. What the fuck did I do last night? I shook my head.

"Don't worry, it wasn't bad. You just drank a little too much and fell asleep."

"Oh my god I didn't..." I sighed, realising yet again I'd made a fool out of myself.

"You did, but it was cute. You were all snuggled up on the couch. You were a pain to get into bed, too."

"Huh?" I looked at Donnie wide-eyed as he smiled.

"Yea, I had to carry you back to your room. That's why I thought I'd come check on you."

I looked at Donnie a moment before smiling. "I should thank you then.. Sorry I was such a pain."

Donnie grinned. "You weren't a pain. Anyways.. we gotta go. See you in Manchester, Emmileigh." He turned around and went to walk away.

"Donnie."

He turned back to look at me, and my stomach flipped. "Yea?"

"You can call me Emmi."

Donnie grinned at me before turning back around. "See ya later Emmi!" he called out before turning the corner to the elevators.

I shut the door to our room and leaned against it, half wishing I'd been awake to see him carry me here and put me to bed, and half bad I had been passed out.

I stood up straight and went to step forward when I realised I was holding what Donnie had handed me. I flipped it over, seeing mine and Karsyn's name written on the front of a envelope.

"Hmmm..." I hummed to myself before tearing it open. I dug my hand inside, and pulled out its contents.

I pretty much let out a squeal when I saw what was inside.

Two front row tickets, and two ultimate passes for tonight's show.

Oh hell YES!

Did you get your gift from Donnie?

Why yes, yes we did. Did you tell him we couldn't get the NKOTB VIP?

Maybe.

Well thanks. Emmi's on cloud nine and now we get to meet Joey. He's my favorite NK besides Donnie.

"Who are you texting?" Emmileigh asked as she stood in front of the mirror in our hotel room in Manchester. She was busy getting ready for the New Kids on the Block VIP thing they do, but I was already dressed.

"Nick asked if we got what Donnie gave us," I said. "We were talking about it last night so he told Donnie, I guess. Hell, I think we told him, too."

Jordan is my favorite.

I sat there giggling and Emmileigh walked over to me, looking at my phone. "He says he's not gay."

"We had that figured out," Emmileigh laughed, heading back to the mirror. "What happened with you two after I passed out last night? You never said."

"Nothing really," I shrugged. "I think he expected a kiss or something, but I gave him a peck on the cheek."
