Chapter 16 - I.O.U.

Geneva, Switzerland

I had been so wrapped up on what happened the day before, that when AJ came banging on our hotel room door this morning, telling Nick to get up, that they were catching their flight to Geneva in 30 minutes, I was dumbfounded. Nick was, too.

Nick got up, got ready and gave me an "I.O.U" which I can cash in at any time he said and left, leaving me to head back to the hotel room where I found Emmileigh up and already dressed. Apparently she was waiting on me.

I didn't even have time to shower. Thankfully the guys had a private jet fly them to the next stop while Emmileigh and I had a normal flight, but it was awkward. She was quiet almost the entire time, not saying much at all. I tried talking to her, but she just closed her eyes the entire flight with her earphones on.

So I knew what I had to do.

Emmi is depressed... we need to get Donnie to talk to her. Or lock them in a room together.

Donnie said he'd talk to her. Ready for the I.O.U.? wink wink nudge nudge. Got the day off tomorrow. We can go out and sight see and stuff if you want.

I'll let you know when we get there. I don't know. I might surprise you when I want to cash it in. Sight seeing would be nice :)

I knew Emmileigh might shoot me, but I had to do it. They needed to talk to each other. If Donnie knew how she was acting, he would want to change that, I knew that much.

Plus, I needed my best friend back in tip-top form, high off of Donnie Wahlberg love so I could tell her I really did think I was falling for Nick and how big of an idiot I was.

I really felt bad for Karsyn today. I was being a complete, and utter pain in the ass.

I just didn't feel like speaking at all.

I'd spent most of the night wondering if I should even stay on the tour. I could never bring that up to Karsyn, because I knew that would upset her. And deep down I knew there was no way I could leave her on tour alone. I wasn't that evil.

So vowing to stay silent was better.

We got to the hotel, and checked in to our room before Karsyn disappeared in the bathroom. I heard the shower come on, so I knew she was going to be in there a while. I unpacked a change of clothes and changed from the ones I was wearing whilst wondering just how today was going to go.

I was nervous, not knowing what the day was going to bring. Especially on the Donnie front. It would kill me if I saw him and he just blanked me.

A knock on the door brought me out of my thoughts, and I quickly shoved the clothes I'd changed out of into my case before heading to answer the door. I knew it was probably Nick coming by to steal Karsyn away.

I swung the door open, ready to let Nick in, and froze, seeing Donnie stood there instead. I blinked a few times before composing myself.

"Donnie."

I didn't miss the way he looked at me before he looked both ways down the hall. He didn't look mad.

"Can I come in? I had to shake off a couple of girls following me here and I know they'll find me in a second."

I nodded and quickly opened the door wider, letting him in. I looked in the hall, seeing no one about before shutting the door. "I think you lost them..." I turned around to look at Donnie, but yelped when he pinned me against the front door, wrapping his arms around my waist. I gasped, seeing his face as close as it was and felt my emotions get the best of me.

"I'm sorry.." I whispered before looking down at his chest.

"I know," Donnie replied, making me look back up at his face.

"You do?"

He nodded. "It was before me and you. You were confused, and hell.. you only kissed. It just shocked me."

I bit my lip. "So you're not mad?"

"Nope. And you're not crazy about Joey?"

I smiled softly. "Hell no."

Donnie smiled back. "Then I think I can forget about that. What do you say, we put the last twelve hours behind us and just focus on now?"

I moved my arms around his waist and nodded before we hugged. Suddenly I didn't feel so sad anymore.
