Chapter 25 - Land Down Under

It's my BIRTHDAY! I probably shouldn't be all excited since I'm turning 31, but this is the first time in a long time I've actually been happy on my birthday, so it really is a HAPPY birthday.

We arrived in Australia yesterday after a long flight and we pretty much slept the entire day. Emmileigh and I got our own room but Nick ended up coming in and sleeping in the bed with me and Emmileigh ended up in Donnie's room.

Last night, I woke up at one point and Nick was gone. He said he had went to one of the other guys' room to go over plans for interviews and stuff, but when I mentioned it later to Brian in the hallway when I went to get some ice from the ice machine, he had no idea what I was talking about.

So I'm pretty sure Nick's planning something for my birthday.

"It's my birthday!" I shouted, walking out of the bathroom to see Nick sitting there, lacing up his sneakers. He cracked up laughing as I walked over to one of my bags, pulling out a tiara. "It's my birthday..."

"You have a tiara?"

"Fuck yes I have a tiara," I said as Nick shook his head and stood up. "Where you going?"

"My room to get dressed and I have some things to do," he said as I raised an eyebrow. "I ordered room service so you'll have breakfast soon," he said, leaning over to kiss me on the cheek. "Happy birthday."

"We're still having dinner tonight, right?" I asked as he nodded, smiling as he walked out of my hotel room.

"Well fuck," I sighed, crawling back on the bed and pulled the cover over me. "It's my birthday!" I shouted, looking around the empty room. "And nobody is here to celebrate it with me."

[Emmileigh]

I felt like alot of pressure was on my shoulders today. Me and Donnie had spent the night together before getting up early. I was eager to go and explore Australia, but today was Karsyn's birthday, and Nick had given us instructions.

I was in charge of the cake, and Donnie.. he was in charge of organising.

Just made me wonder what Nick was actually doing for this whole thing.

Probably sat on his ass playing Xbox.

"Can we go look around after we get the cake?" I asked Donnie as we were in a car driving us the the bakery where we had pre-ordered Karsyn's cake.

"You can, but I've gotta call around to a few people. Take Jon with you."

I looked at Donnie. "Jon?"

"Sure, why not? He loves doing touristy shit." Donnie smiled. "Plus, he keeps asking about you, I think it'll be good for you both to get to know each other."

I shrugged. "I guess thats a good point. I could drag Karsyn along too. She'll probably whine though, cos its her birthday. I swear she thinks we don't really care. I haven't even seen her today."

"Text her." Donnie placed his hand on my thigh, making me smile.

"I did."

"Then she knows. I think this is the place."

I looked out the car window and snorted. "A bakery with a huge ass cupcake on its roof. No shit." I waited for the car to stop before climbing out. I waited for Donnie before we both walked into the shop.

[Karsyn]

I went down to Nick's room after taking eating breakfast and taking a shower, in just a robe and my Tiara, but he was gone. Donnie and Emmileigh weren't in his room, either. So instead, I went back to my and Emmileigh's room and sat there debating on what to do.

It was my birthday and nobody was around. It wasn't becoming that big of a happy birthday.

I heard my phone chirp and reached over on the bed, grabbing it to see that it was a text from Emmileigh.

Going site seeing with Jon. Wanna come?

I sighed, telling her no and reached for one of my bags to grab some clothes. Then heard the chirping sound again.

Oooh. Okay, well I'll be back soon. We're supposed to meet at six to go to dinner.

I replied, telling her I'd meet her at the room at six. I had seen a salon and spa downstairs in the hotel and if nobody else was going to be around on my birthday, I was going to go make myself feel good.
