Chapter 30 - Kiss My Country Ass

Melbourne, Australia - Travel Day

I hate doctors offices.

What's worse, I hate being stuck with needles and being made to pee on demand. I wasn't the most compliant when being told what to do, and Donnie saw first hand when the doctor handed me a test and asked me to go to the bathroom and do it.

I mean, what if I didn't need to pee? What if I'd peed just before arriving?

Still, I managed to pee on the stupid stick before taking it back in to the doctor, who then took some of my blood before leaving me and Donnie in the doctor's office alone.

We must of waited for what felt like a lifetime when the door opened, making me squeeze the hell out of Donnie's hand as we both turned to look at her.

"Well it's good news!" she said as she walked around to her desk.

I pretty much gulped as she sat down. "I'm pregnant?"

The doctor chuckled. "You told me you wasn't ready, right? I figured the good news would be that you're not."

I blinked at her. "I'm not pregnant? But the test I did.."

"A false positive. The test you did here is more accurate. I sent the blood I took from you to the lab. I won't be able to give you the results today, but we can call you with the results. I can guarantee you're definitely not pregnant, though."

I sighed in relief. "How come my period is late?"

"You've been traveling a lot lately, right?"

I nodded, glancing at Donnie when he squeezed my hand.

"Sometimes that can stress your body out, and confuse it. How long are you in Australia for?"

I looked at Donnie, who answered for me.

"We travel to Adelaide later today, but we're here till the end of the month."

The doctor nodded. "Well as long as you're getting enough sleep and resting, I can bet your period will come while you're still here. If it's not arrived by the time you are home, I'd advise going to see your own doctor."

I nodded at her, just feeling relieved that I wasn't pregnant. We both thanked the doctor before leaving the office and heading outside.

"You ok?"

I turned around and hugged Donnie. "I am. I mean.. I'm relieved."

Donnie hugged me back. "I'll admit I am too. I mean I love kids and everything, but I'd like us to have been together a lot longer before we had our own."

I pulled back and looked up at Donnie. "What?"

"Well.. this whole thing got me thinking.." He trailed off and chuckled. "Nevermind."

"You've been thinking about our future? Babies? For real?" I couldn't help but smile, It was hella cute that he'd thought about us like that.

"Yea, I guess I have. Kinda the only thing I could think of, especially not knowing if in nine months we would have a kid. I was playing safe."

I grinned. "Of course you were." I shook my head and smiled at him before pulling my phone out my pocket. "Can we go get some food? I'm starving."

"Sure."

I smiled at Donnie before sending Karsyn a quick text.

"OFFICIALLY NOT PREGNANT! Sorry Aunt Karsyn ;)"

Nick and I went ahead and flew with everybody else to the next tour stop, while Donnie and Emmileigh stayed behind in Melbourne to go to the doctor. I kind of wanted to stay back, but I knew Nick needed to get to the next stop because he had something to do himself.

I didn't get to talk to anybody from that real estate agency the night before because Nick was up under my ass, literally and physically, and I knew it was probably nighttime there now or pretty close to it. I would just have to send them an e-mail.

"I heard a chirping sound," Nick said as we rolled our bags into the hotel and I reached in my purse for my phone. I read Emmileigh's text message and practically squealed.

"Oh my God, what?" AJ asked as he rushed over to us. "Did someone spot a Backstreet Boy?" I glared at him, practically pushing him aside as I showed Nick my phone.

"Oh shit, really?" Nick asked. "Hopefully they celebrate this time by using a condom."

"What?" AJ asked as Nick rolled his eyes at him and started strolling his stuff towards the check in counter. "What's going on? I feel so left out."

"A friend back home, nothing to concern you," I said, pinching AJ's cheeks.

"So you're moving in with Nick?" AJ asked as I shook my head. "Then why did I see you looking at Malibu stuff online earlier?"

"I'm not moving in with Nick," I said as he shook his head at me. "I'm not. I'm getting a place out there, but I'm not moving in with Nick."

"We'll see how long that last," AJ said as I turned my head to ignore him. "Because Carter is smitten..."

"Oh AJ, you are so behind on times."

"Meaning what?"

"Maybe you should talk to your boy," I said, looking at him. "Or have I stolen him away from you?" I raised an eyebrow and AJ glared at me, walking over to Nick which caused me to laugh.

"YOU ALREADY TOLD HER YOU LOVED HER!" AJ shouted in the middle of the hotel lobby, causing me to look around. I looked over at Howie, who was laughing and shaking his head as he typed something on his Blackberry.

"Is AJ always this needy?" I asked Howie as he looked at me and smiled.

"AJ likes to be in everybody's business, even if it's none of his business," Howie said. "This is why he likes to watch the 'The Golden Girls,' he's like a little old woman."

"So Carter says you've already said the words," AJ said, walking up to me with his arms crossed over his chest. "He also told me you named your cat after us. He used the word 'pussy cat' but I don't want to say that outloud in a nice hotel lobby."

"Yes, my cat back home is named Carter McLean," I said as AJ smirked. "I told you that you were my second favorite."

"Hey!" Howie said as we turned to look at him. "Sorry, just felt like I should throw my two cents in."

"I love you, too, AJ," I said, reaching up to hug him. "I'm just not doing the things I do with Nick with you, though."

"You named your pussy after me, that's all that counts," he whispered in my ear as I shuddered slightly and moved away from him.

These boys were more perverted than I ever was.
