Chapter 8 - Rise and Grind

After finally going to sleep last night, I woke up this morning completely and utterly confused. I didn't think Emmileigh and I had any fucking idea what we were doing. Sure we joked about being groupies, fucking every member of every band and all of that, but it wasn't like we were actually going to do it.

And I could have had sex with Nick Carter last night, but I didn't. And then the bastard came to check on me when I didn't text him back?

And let's not even get into what happened with Emmi and Joey. When the hell did Joey McIntyre become such a horn dog?

I had a lot of decisions to make. There was a part of me that was so confused, I wanted to leave the tour and just go start over, somewhere new, like London or Milan or somewhere in Russia where nobody knew me. Then there was the part of me that wanted to see what the rest of the tour held. I wanted to see what was going to happen with Nick and with Emmileigh and whoever. I wasn't sure what super powers Joey held, but it gave Emmi's self confidence a huge boost.

Hell, Nick gave my self confidence a huge boost, too.

While Emmi was showering and getting ready for the day, I went downstairs to grab something to eat before my blood sugar levels went too low. I was starving and needed some food. I stood in line at the small shop in the lobby and felt someone tap me on the shoulder.

"Hey," I said, looking over to see Donnie. "Morning."

"Rise and grind," he said as I cracked up laughing. I didn't think he actually said that shit in person. "How was your date with Nick?"

"It wasn't a date," I said, ordering a muffin and some chocolate milk. "We just went out to eat and hung out a little bit."

"Sounds like a date to me," he smiled, causing me to roll my eyes. "I found out ya'lls room number and went by to see Emmileigh but nobody was in the room."

I froze, paying the guy behind the counter for my muffin and milk. What the hell was I supposed to say to him? He obviously didn't know she went to hang out with Joey.

"I don't know," I shrugged. "I was out with Nick pretty late."

"Because it was a date," he said as I shook my head, telling him goodbye as I walked away. I immediately texted Nick to see if Donnie knew that Emmi and Joey hung out. I wasn't going to say anything because I was pretty sure, regardless of what Emmi thought, Donnie liked her. If not, why would he go by our room?

Hell no I didn't tell him. I'm not going to break up my favorite group.

I snorted, walking into the elevator when I got another text.

Sorry, my favorite boy band. Journey is my favorite group. Don't tell anybody I said that.

Nick Carter had issues, but not as many issues as Joey, Donnie and Emmileigh had.

I was so glad that we were doing a Backstreet Boys VIP today. After last night with Joey I didn't know how I would be able to face him. Sure we only made out, but the sober part of me was feeling a little embarrassed.

Karsyn though, she was on cloud nine. Nick was definitely treating her right from what I could tell. She was gone when I came out the bathroom after showering. She'd left a note saying she was grabbing some food so I packed all my stuff up and before waiting for her to come back.

I was curious as to what was going to happen this evening. I knew Karsyn would probably be with Nick. I didn't know if I trust myself to go back to Joey's room, plus... I wanted to see Donnie, even if I was convinced he wasn't interested.

We arrived at the arena before soundcheck. There were a few fans milling around that I'd recognised from previous tours, a few who thought they were 'in' with the Backstreet Boys, and then the general whoreanus fans. I was glad I had Karsyn with me. I couldn't stand half these bitches.

"I'm so glad we're not doing ultimate today."

Karsyn looked at me. "Feeling awkward?"

"Just a little." We stepped forward, and the guy who organised the soundcheck parties looked up at us and chuckled.

"Hello again ladies.. let me see if I remember this... Emmileigh Knightly and... Karsyn McBride. Am I right?"

We both looked at him before laughing, mainly because the dude thought he was funny, and partly because we must have made an impression for the dude to remember our whole names. We took our passes before walking inside the arena.
