Chapter 31

(following anime episodes 115, 116 and 117)

          Slowly succeeding in their intentions to get closer to Yliaster and find the true motives behind their evil plans, Team 5D's had only one thing that was left unresolved: making Yeager talk about everything he knows regarding Yliaster. After Hanako's proposal of tracking Yeager down, thanks to the transmitter that Yusei placed on him Yeager, they were easily able to track him down. So Jack, Crow, Bruno and Yusei followed him and got into duel with him to make him talk, but that proffer of realisation was not fulfilled until Crow decided to defeat Yeager in a duel and make him surrender. Sticking determinedly to his task, Crow's win was unquestionable and once Yeager was defeated, he was brought to the Poppo Time house and questioned that late night, when the nightmare kept preventing Hanako from falling asleep, but since she talked to Yusei and arranged their date for tomorrow, her soul was a bit at ease, knowing they will finally sort things out! But the peaceful and sound sleep she finally met that night in Crow's room was soon take away from her, when the piercing noise roared through the house and made her eyes open wide in a second. Guided by her instincts and intuition, Hanako jumped out of the bed and pulled up her dungaree shorts, sliding them upwards to the top of her shoulders, over her shirt. Walking downstairs, Hanako let a sigh of disturbance, hearing something hitting the ground of their living room, so she picked up her pace.

"Guys, is everything OK?" She asked from the staircase, while the sun just started rising above the horizon, weakly and still a bit sleepily trying to shoot its ray through the window, but giving Hanako enough light to see what was going on. Sherry was holding Yeager by the collar, pulling him up from the ground where he was lying, probably because Sherry threw him there in the first place.

          "I won't stand waiting here listening to any more of this ridiculous story!" The blonde shouted in anger, as her voice crossly roared through the living room, making Hanako's body to slightly twitch at Sherry's rage.

"Sherry?" Hanako muttered into her chin, surprised to see Sherry in the house, but then she remembered how Yeager was captured in order for some Yliaster-realted information to be taken out of him, so she assumed Sherry was here for that very same reason.

          "Sherry", Hanako heard how Yusei's voice was almost reiterating hers, as he placed a hand on Sherry's shoulder in attempt to tame her temper.

"Haven't you been continuing to avoid the subject of Yliaster since you began talking?" Bruno's voice suddenly reached the surface above the entire Team 5D's, since all of them were here: Jack, Crow, Yusei, Aki, Rua, Ruka, Sherry and Yusei... All of them gathered around Yeager like bees around honey, salivating in anticipation to hear what he has to say, but judging by the look on Sherry's face and the words escaping Bruno's lips, Hanako assumed that eager wish was still not fulfilled.

          "Wait," Hanako murmured in disbelief, walking down the stairs and approaching the group, "He was here the entire night and still hasn't talked?" Her finger pushed towards Yeager, who was sitting before her eyes that had both of her eyebrows raised above them, curling like rainbows above the clouds.

"Yes", Yeager's face fell, as he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, preparing himself to talk again, but not much was let out, "Well..."

          "I don't get it", Hanako interrupted, shrugging at the sight of Yeager's incapability of being strong enough to talk, "Your wife and your son are safe in Satellite with Martha... What are you so afraid of?" She asked, as her eyes suddenly filled with concern that was mixing with incomprehension, even though she was trying to understand Yeager and the reason behind his scared spirit.
