i sneaked back in the hospital room careful not to be seen by anyone, that was one thing having strict parents had taught me.
"iris, i thought i told you to rest" i turned around almost immediately finding a very annoyed aiden with his arms crossed over his chest, glaring at me.
"how did you-?" i stumbled backwards with my back against the door.
"you think arron won't tell me?" he huffed walking towards me.
"arron that piece of-" i cursed under my breath just to be cut off by aiden again.
"he blames himself for what happened to you" aiden sighed holding me by the shoulders walking me back towards my bed.
"don't make him feel more guilty and get well soon okay?" he sat beside me with pleading eyes.
I nodded in response now reflecting on the careless act i did before.
"i'll send a nurse to inspect your wound again" with that he stood up walking out of the hospital room.
____________
Another week had passed and i had no news of arron or my parents. Aiden kept reassuring me that everything was going well and they had their first trial which went in their favor and they'll be out soon. Though i didn't know what he meant by the word "soon".
I was much better and could stand up by myself however i still was recommended to rest for another two weeks for the wound to fully heal since it pierced my internal organs too. I decided not to thin about it much because it all still seemed too unreal to me.
I got out of bed with a wince locking the door wanting some time to myself without aiden barging in anytime to nag at me, after an hour or so i sat down on the bed again suddenly feeling sleepy, the thought of decorating the hospital room with some colors popping at the back of my mine.
Just as i was about to sleep a knock was heard on the door as i sighed.
"it's open" i shouted as the door knob turned with me realizing that i had locked it.
"fuck it" i cursed under my breath getting out of bed again dragging my Iv stand alongside me with a hand on my lower abdomen where the wound was.
I unlocked the door pulling it open my eyes wide at the unexpected person before me.
"hi?" arron spoke with a smile his hair neatly brushed back, wearing a white dress shirt with a black suit pants; the first few buttons of his shirt undone.
I didn't fail to notice the beautiful bouquet of a very unique flower in his hands, the white pink and pastel purple colors complementing each other in the softest way.
"you're finally here" i smiled, my vision getting blurry as i looked back up i his eyes.
I must be looking terrible right now with dark circles under my eyes, pale skin and hospital pajamas.
"here" he handed me the bouquet as i let go of the Iv stand to hold them, bringing them close to my face to smell them.
"They have the same name as you" he smiled once again as i furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
"iris?" i laughed looking at the flowers having no idea that an actual flower specie had my name.
"i had no idea either that they exist" Arron laughed looking at my amused reaction.
"won't you come in?" i asked with a delighted smile on my face, my body felt with warmth just upon seeing him.
