Chapter 20- Thunder

After the short make out session we both laid under the thick blankets blocking out the cold of the chilly night

Arron's arm was around me with my head on his firm chest,staring into the distance as my mind was clouded with the thought of my parents

I don't know how much more I can take being in that home but I can't just leave, I may be able to run away from there temporarily but I can't leave

The family business, curious relatives, me being the only child, exams and result.... Everything was just too much

My mind turned into a mess as I snuggled into Arrons chest deeper with a deep sigh in order to clear my head

He seemed to notice that as he spoke

"what's wrong?" he spoke in a low voice that made his deep voice sound even more deeper, his hand that was holding me moved towards my shoulder lifting me up as I turned towards him, holding my body to the side with my elbow

"nothing just... I'm tired " I briefly closed my eyes as I spoke

I could tell by his expression and his eyes that he didn't believe a word that I said but he chose to ignore it as he sensed that I didn't want to talk about it

It was getting tiring holding my body up by just my elbow so I laid down on my stomach as I bought up my other elbow to the front to support my face as

I saw how Arron's gaze snaked down my neck as he averted his eyes elsewhere with a slight gulp that I happened to notice

"seriously go change, this is really distracting" his spoke between his teeth as I immediately looked down just to see the loose sleeveless top which was revealing way more than it should because of the position I was in

I immediately put a hand over my chest in order to keep it in place as I sat up pulling it from the behind in order to raise the neckline

I noticed arron observing everything with dark eyes

I wasn't even wearing a bra underneath it since it's uncomfortable at night, I felt too exposed.... No I WAS too exposed

The air between us tensed up again as arron was visibly struggling to keep his eyes off my body

"Just go wear something else before I loose all self control" he hurriedly spoke as he thew a cushion on me out of the blue as he covered himself with a blanket

'okay that was a very unexpected move but I rarely get to see a flustered arron so I guess it was worth it'

A small smile appeared on my face as I moved towards the wardrobe to get a robe, yes I took his words seriously

No matter how much I wanted it to happen I guess we should take things slow for now, well the sexual tension between us was over the sky even when we first met so I don't know if I'll ever be able to go slow with him

Pulling the silk robe over my body, I moved towards the bed once again and wrapped my arms around arron from the behind as I got under the sheets, the growling sudden sound of the thunder caught me off guard as my body suddenly shuddered involuntarily

I hugged him tighter as I closed my eyes, I felt his body slightly move as he held my hands and turned around, in a moment he spun my body around as his arms were now under me and his chest against my back holding me In a spooning position

His eyes were still closed as his hold around me tightened protectively, I smiled to myself as I closed my eyes to sleep

Emma's pov:

It was almost 4 in the morning as I got home, the rain had stopped but the slight pouring was still there

I had stayed up the whole night doing the Paper work for a sudden project due tomorrow that my father had forgotten and couldn't complete since he was on a business trip

My father owned a large company dealing with online marketing and business, and since I was the only child and the heir to inherit it; I was taught everything about the company and business at a young age and I do deal with company projects sometimes

I took my coat off throwing it on the sofa as I plopped the keys somewhere on the table moving up the stairs sloppily

I expected iris to be in my room as I opened the door but I saw the large unmade bed empty

It was clear that someone did sleep on the bed but where was she

Nevertheless I was too exhausted to think about anything else and I had Hardly 3 hours to sleep before school

Before knowing my eyes got heavy as I stepped into the blankets, the thought of changing into the night dress roaming at the back of my head but my body was too numb to function

My eyes slowly fluttered open as I observed the dim daylight, it was rainy last night and it was still pouring, the atmosphere was cold and dark but somehow calming

My eyes traveled to arron who was sleeping peacefully with messy

'he even looks handsome when he sleeps'

Before knowing what I was doing I moved the hair off his forehead slowly brushing them to the side so I could see his face properly

No matter how hard I look at him he just seems perfect to me, all his perfect imperfections make him even more
attractive. I really must be under a spell because the way i obsess over him is crazy and beyond the understanding of my mind

As I was in the process of observing his face his eye lids slowly fluttered open and his expression changed, trying to get used to the light

As he finally forced his eyes open observing the situation his face broke out in a bright smile

"morning" his voice was raspy and deeper than usual as he spoke with a huge smile on his face

As if that's all my heart needed I suddenly felt right, everything was perfect. He was there infront of me with a big smile on his face and messy hair that fell all over his forehead and pointed towards different directions at the top of his head

I never knew such a simple sight like that would make my heart beat like crazy and make me the happiest I've ever been

"morning" I replied as I replicated the same smile he had on his face onto mine as if it was contagious

I hope I could stay in this moment forever. Just him and me... Genuinely living the moment..... Erasing the past, forgetting the reality and the uncertain future ahead of us
