"I'll never forgive you" I bitterly whispered looking at him.
"you are like me, no matter how much you hate me you can't deny that" he laughed throwing his head back.
"I'm not like you, I'll never be like you" I spoke slamming my hand on the table.
"I trained you all these years, don't get weak" he leaned in hissing In front of my face.
He'll never understand. He'll never understand the damage he's done, it's no use. It's no use talking to him... He'll never realize.
"I hope you can pay for your sins... Have a great life" I gulped my tears back walking out of the door, without sparing him another glance.
-
I was waiting anxiously outside the door after arrons mother was taken to the hospital.
He walked out with a sigh as i rushed towards him.
"how did it go?" i asked observing the dead expression on his face.
"honestly no idea" he sighed.
"y-your brother"
"I know, i'll talk to him" he looked towards his direction behind us.
"won't you call him home?" i asked.
"he would never want to go back there" arron spoke with a sad expression on his face.
"i'll be back in a while hmm?"
he reassuringly squeezed my hand before walking off to his brothers direction.
-
Every step i took towards him my heart drummed against my chest anxiously. should i call him home? will it be appropriate to call it home? will he stay? or will he leave?
I finally reached him as we both looked at each other without a word.
"you've grown..." he spoke with a fascinated look on his face.
"it's been ten years" i whispered back with a slight smile on my face.
"how are you...now?" i questioned sucking a deep breath in as we started walking.
"I have a wife i love and a daughter, i couldn't be better" he spoke, a genuine smile spread on his face.
"I won't run away again arron" he continued as i looked at him not expecting him to bring that topic up.
"i know it's too late but..."
"i'm glad that you found the courage"
"when am i meeting my niece though" i laughed, the brim of my eyes filled with tears as Austin" did the same.
"you look so much like her" he spoke though the tears wiping them away.
"Anna right? axel also looks like her" i halted in my steps as i started talking about her.
"i'm sorry arron, for running away and leaving you all alone...for not being there when she died" his voice broke as he looked up the sky.
"you're lucky you weren't" i sighed putting my hand on his shoulder reassuringly.
"Forgive yourself now brother...it's what she would've wanted" my brother wiped the tears from his eyes forcing himself to smile.
"that girl with you..."
"iris" a smile made it's way across my face as i spoke her name, my brother observing my reaction keenly.
