Alec Buckley- Canadian-American (English/Scotch-Irish ancestry); Connor Tran's best friend and a good friend of Daniela Nichols, Alec is casual, if somewhat unkempt, in appearance, with messy, curly red hair, mischievous green eyes, and a light complexion, which causes him to be considered a "daywalker" among his peers. Born and partially raised in Canada in the suburbs of Toronto, Alec has often preferred video games, skateboarding, and hockey with the guys to dealing with the awkwardness of understanding the "girliness" of his female counterparts. He moved to New York after his father, an SAP consultant, was relocated to a branch of his company that was in Queens. As a native of British Columbia, he is mentioned to speak with a faint Canadian accent, a running inside joke among him and his friends. Alec likes to skateboard throughout the city to move around and simultaneously receive a good workout. He is fond of amusement and chatter and leads a vigorous online social life, with a propensity for bluntness and using profane language when heatedly formulating an opinion. He tends to have a sarcastic sense of humor as well and is sometimes talkative to a fault, meanwhile his e-mail address is 69ingchipmunks@me.com. Although generally calm and cheerful, he can have a bit of a quick temper and seem overly excitable periodically, wondering in his darkest moments what Brian Boitano would do. Alec was a talkative child who was always being a menace somehow, as he liked to stir up trouble and often found himself "debating" with his parents and teachers. Fearless and adventurous, he is open to experience and up for trying anything new, having a hidden passion for cooking and experimenting with ethnic cuisine. He prizes spontaneity and has a fun-loving, thrill-seeking nature, being the typeof person to take a road trip across the country on impulse.

Sharp-minded and free-thinking, he often has clever banter whenever he is interacting with others, liking debate and finding amusement in spontaneously saying shocking, "of-the-wall" things ever so often to trigger a reaction. Alec uses most of his ideas to bring attention to himself, which brings about disastrous results once he impulsively follows through with them without much thought. He was an eager and energetic child who broke every playground rule in the book and wasn't allowed to have sugar, as he would end up bouncing off the walls. As every day was a holiday for him, he woke up one morning wearing his favorite shamrock panties and declared it St. Patrick's Day. He has previously gotten scolded for not standing up as his classmates recited the pledge of allegiance during the morning announcements. Alec has interests in computers, writing, and music as well, being a skilled drummer who plays the snare drum for the high school band. He once tried googling himself on the internet for fun and has demonstrated a strong aptitude for technology from a young age. He was always fascinated by robots and would put together his own toy contraptions as young boy and tried launching a cartoon database during his early teens. He is often seen as a huge nerd for old internet culture and uses outdated memes, frequently quoting the phrase "all your base are belong to us" while considering current memes and internet culture "weird and scary". Alec is said to have a strange, eclectic taste in music as well and is a fan of obscure Canadian indie rock bands like Mother Mother and Tokyo Police Club, causing him to stay out late attending local rock concerts. He also likes to edit Wikipedia in his spare time and is not averse to enjoying a funny clip or so from his favorite adult cartoon series, Family Guy. Good-humored and comical, he is close with both Connor and his twin sister Emma, who harbors secret feelings for him, although he is often dense and clueless when it comes to girls.

He also has a special fondness for his classmate Lola Betancur, a gamer girl with glasses and long dirty blonde hair from a neighboring high school whom he finds "brilliant" and embraces regardless of her quirks and imperfections. Despite his snarky demeanor, he has a sensitive side and is always willing to lend a listening ear and helping hand to his friends and can occasionally seem unexpectedly deep and insightful when giving advice. He is particularly fascinated by Lola's unique way of projecting herself, claiming he "likes weird people" and admiring her for her authenticity and ability to stand out and be herself. While he values intelligence and intellect, Alec is nonetheless fascinated by crude humor and the female anatomy, expressing an unrestrained interest in sex. He claims not to particularly like internet pornography however, finding it forced and "incredibly boring" as the same events take place repeatedly, as well as degrading to women. He instead admits that he would rather just use his imagination to envision an attractive girl, which he finds much more arousing. Ironically, he adores his younger adoptive 12-year-old sister Noona, who is of Indian descent and has a fascination with horses, rainbows, and zombies, although her inner teenager calls her to fantasize about zombies making out. Alec is generally there for Noona through her crazy antics, whether it involves rebelling by dying her natural black hair purple or putting an unflattering photo of herself under his bed to scare away monsters. He has somewhat of a rivalry with his older brother Patrick however, who works in California as a marine biologist. Patrick is incredibly successful at his work and has been married to and has a 4-year-old daughter with his wife, Dana Buckley, a beautiful zoologist from New Zealand with long glossy brown hair, light green eyes, and alabaster skin, which often causes Alec to experience a pang of jealousy.

Both Alec and his brother bear a physical resemblance to their mother, a short-statured woman with long, frizzy red hair and hazel eyes who works as a music therapist. He considers himself a sapiosexual, being attracted mainly to intelligence and placing great emphasis on the depth of his connections to others, as well as the quality of a person's mind. When not spending time browsing the internet, Alec enjoys a wide range of trading card games and board games with some of his peers, including Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons. He is part of a board gamers club and has opened up and established a few solid friendships through this hobby, most significantly with his good friend Myra Walker, an overweight, slightly emo Hispanic boy who often wears a green skull shirt and loves gaming named Carl Valenzuela, a Taiwanese-American boy named Paxton Chen, a non-binary student named Xander Vaughn, a square, clean-cut, and unpopular boy with a stocky build named Arnold Zabka, a geeky girl with frizzy, unruly blonde hair named Morgan Fischer, a perky and imaginative female student named Gretel Grant-Suarez, a short brunette named Chancey Hale and an African American classmate from California named Jeffrey Smith, whom Myra temporarily developed feelings for during a brief breakup with her long-term boyfriend Isaiah. Fate would ultimately bring Alec and Lola together once they are coincidentally employed at the same company after graduating high school. They would further solidify their bond after Alec has broken up with Emma Tran, allowing them to gradually get to know each other while attending the University of Washington. The two develop strong feelings and enter a long-term relationship, during which they settle down in Seattle, Washington and cohabit together alongside their many pets. Lola is ultimately employed as a screenwriter for a web show and Alec pursues his own computer-related career as a forensic analyst. ENTP 8w7
