Bianca Rutelli

Bianca Rutelli- Italian-American (Sicilian ancestry);  Bianca Rutelli is an artistic free spirit who is described as having the "best fashion sense" among her peers and isn't afraid to rebel against the mainstream, seldom caring what other people think. She is the teenage daughter of Ubaldo Rutelli, a salesman who works for Expedite Access and Aurora Rutelli, a family practitioner. Easygoing and jovial, she is Daniela Nichols first and oldest friend, having met her in preschool when they were 4, and prefers to go with the flow, embracing a happy-go-lucky, "live and let live" approach to life. She marches to the beat of her own drum and often takes setbacks in stride, being characteristically flexible and adapting easily to big, drastic changes in her environment. Despite not being thoroughly academic, Bianca has a significant amount of common sense and heightened street smarts, being particularly intuitive and insightful when it comes to relationships and boys. She often overlooks the more philosophical, game-changing questions for the smaller, practical details when it comes to getting to know someone. She tends gives good advice when solicited from others however and generally refrains from forming strong opinions on people or jumping to conclusions at first meeting. She has good observational skills and is characteristically accepting and nonjudgmental during her interactions. While she enjoys exchanging ideas and perspectives with others, Bianca can appear whimsical and capricious, often acting out of impulse with her desire seize the opportunities of the current moment. She cares more about authenticity than appropriateness and will make fun of herself and even be irreverent to create an atmosphere of honesty. 

She also tends to run away from negativity and enjoys embracing the present moment with optimism, which can make her appear fickle and unreliable with her slight flightiness and love of roaming about. She notices beauty in the world around her and will be put off by poor hygiene, but this doesn't mean that she will refuse to help someone because of their physical appearance. Precocious and nimble, Bianca often feels disconnected from her feelings and is sometimes unaware of her own emotional states. She was able to grasp new concepts with ease and often rushed through her work, which made her feel bored as she waited for the others to finish. She nonetheless manages through her schoolwork smoothly and is keenly attuned to her environment, having an acute perceptiveness when it comes to the changing moods of others. She inherited her father's spunk and gift for banter, which brings about awkward circumstances as her propensity to be sharp-tongued causes her to cross the line and unintentionally offend others with her frankness. Having recently arrived in Long Island from the bustling streets of Brooklyn, Bianca is a creative soul with an artistic eye and isn't hesitant to embrace her quirkiness or express her individuality in more ways than one. She mentions that she has loved fashion for as long as she could remember and likes to draw dresses and shoes, leading her to be in charge of costumes for the school play. As she matures and starts jobs however, her fashion sense dissolves a bit and evolves into a more earthy, modest, and simple style. With her penchant for the arts, she revers the world of fashion and looks to drawing, painting, and sculpting, keeping a gallery wall with pieces she collected over the years and some she created herself. 

A talented performer and artist, Bianca was an excellent dancer before being forced to quit due to a back injury, and now demonstrates a passion for crafting and studio art. She is also noted for being a fan of EDM music, dedicating significant time to saving money to attend music festivals during her spring and summer breaks. She enjoys listening to alternative rock and new wave music while painting, considering Robert Smith from The Cure to be one of her many music idols and the album Disintegration to be "revolutionary". The activities she pursues often have a creative theme and span a variety of interests, including acting, singing, dancing, painting, wax sculpting, and pottery. Bianca can be found on the fringes of the social scene, hanging out with emo or hipster kids and daydreaming through most of her classes. Social status wasn't her greatest concern but she was just alternative enough to be considered cool and got invited to all the right parties. Always a festive soul, she also considers New Year's Eve to be her favorite holiday due to the "lack of stress" that comes with the occasion. She enjoys the excitement and simultaneous sense of hope brought about with the approach of each new year of possibilities. Bianca enjoys visiting consignment shops as well, having the ability to bargain hunt and mix and match retro fashions with modern inspired pieces. Daniela sees her as beautiful with her lithe limbs and slender, but toned frame, thick black hair, and tanned, olive complexion, as well as her large, expressive brown eyes, which are framed by long eyelashes. She has bangs that she later tries to grow out and is often described as being young-looking and fresh-faced with a remarkable resemblance to her father, having inherited his eyes, dark hair, and swarthier complexion.
