Seeing Camila's pictures on her Instagram made me excited, but also more hurt than I have been in a few days. I miss her like crazy and I wonder how much longer she is going to make me suffer and wait for her. A part of me thinks that she doesn't want to forgive me and doesn't want to work things out between us.  That's the part that is driving me crazy.

I'm sitting in my room, watching the clouds go by when my phone rings. It's Niall. I answer the FaceTime and laugh as I see him with Emma kissing, before they realize I actually answered.

"Oh hey! Sorry!! I've got a wild one here." He laughs as Emma playful slaps his arm.

"You guys are so cute it's disgusting." I sigh. "What's up?" I ask.

"Well...the race is tomorrow and then the gala is on Monday night and Emma and I were just talking...We think we have a way you can get Mila back." He says. Emma shakes her head in agreement.

"And? Seriously! I'm all ears guys....I don't think I can stand another picture with her and Luca plastered all over everything." I say half excited half anxious and disgusted.

Emma pipes up first. "Well I know you still have her favorite ring, she's been looking for it like crazy, but I think between that and your secret weapon, you can use those to help win her back."

"Yeah man, time to break out the pipes!" Niall speaks up.

Ahhh..my secret weapon, one that not very many people know about.  I can sing.  I can sing very well and little does Camila know I have been working on one final grand gesture to get her back.  We both are closet Taylor Swift lovers and I've been practicing one of her favorite songs "Afterglow."  Partly because it's her favorite and partly because it perfectly puts into words all the things I can't say.

"You should also show her how much progress you have made with Larry.  She would be so happy to see you using crutches to walk, even short distances." Niall says excitedly.

"It all sounds great you guys....but what if it doesn't work?  What if she runs back to Luca?  What if I've hurt her for the last time?" I sigh sadly, burying my face in my hands, my phone getting lost on my curls.

"Shawn...yes, she's still hurt, and she's being a stubborn asshole, but Luca is just her sad attempt at trying to get over you, but I know her.  I've known her longer than you have and she's not over you, she loves you.  She's just too blinded by Luca and her hurt to admit it right now and it's even driving me crazy!" Emma explains.  "Just hang in there!  She'll come around.  I know how sorry you are and I've tried to tell her that.  I think Monday will help, but you better bring your A game." She warns lovingly.

"Dude, Connor and I even talked to James and he thinks his sister is being unfair, which I wasn't expecting, but he isn't a fan of "Mr Hunk-O-Italiano" either so...there's still hope for you yet!" Niall says reassuringly.

I smile slightly and nod.  "Thanks guys...I better get back I practicing." I say.

Emma and Niall nod in unison before they hang up.  I roll myself over to my guitar which Liyah brought for me a week ago and start to strum the chords for the song.  I've nearly got it all down and I'm excited, yet apprehensive to go through with all this on Monday night.

I just hope it works.

Race Day!

It's race day!! I'm watching the race from my room and wishing I was there.  Wishing Camila was standing by my side as my girl, listening to the fans cheer, the National anthem play and the planes for the flyover soar by.
