Chapter 31 - The Same

"Today the police infiltrated an abandon warehouse where residents said a smell was coming from only to find the dead bodies of villains. They have all been identified as members of the league of villains but officers..." The TV cut out. Bakugo, Shinso and Iida all looked at each other and they ran from the dorms. 

"He had to have done it. He had to have saved her." Iida yelled as they ran to the station but Bakugo and Shinso were silent. It was still a day before they had to meet with Stain but if he had her, maybe they could find him again and get (y/n) back.

Stain watched you as you slept. He had given you one of his many pillows and blankets. Now marked the fourteenth hour you slept but he was remembering what she told him. He couldn't understand how anyone would do that to another human. Killing, yes, but not that. He looked away and started to sharpen his blade again. The first three days he noticed she wouldn't sleep or woke with a light gasp from a nightmare. Today marked the first time she slept uninterrupted and he don't want to wake her. She, for some strange reason, had said she trusted him. He sighed. 

"I don't do trust girl." He whispered and leaned back on the wall, placing his sword on the ground but heard her give a soft groan and her eyes opened. You looked around and saw Stain and sat up. 

"Sleep well?" Stain asked. He didn't really care but he knew it would make her happy. You gave a nod and watched as he picked his sword up and start to sharpen it. 

"Why did you really save me?" You asked him. He stopped and looked at you. 

"You proved me wrong." He said. You gave a nod but looked away. He rolled his eyes and stood, walking over and placed his sword into the hostler and grabbed his other one before he walked and sat again. She was expecting that answer but he could tell she wanted a clearer answer.

"I guess it was because you remand me of myself." He says and starts to sharping his sword. You look at him again. 

"See, when they came to me and begged me to save you, I thought they had gone mad but then they showed me they would die to get you back even when it was on a 'most likely' but they were still willing. It reminded me of what you said. On how a hero can change. It made me think of how I was always looking for the next fake hero to kill, while you are always looking for the next to save." He said and looked at you. 

"We are different, yes, but we both believe we can change this world for the best." He says. You have tears and smile at him. Stain smiles but frowns and plunges his sword into the ground and placed his ear to it.  

"It seems like they found out I have you. Come." He said and took his sword out of the ground and started to load them on him. You stood and he turned so you can get on his back. He then ran but this time not as fast. He ran into an alleyway and you saw Iida, Bakugo, Native and Shinso. You smiled and once Stain stopped, you got off his back and ran to them, tackling Shinso to the ground and you cried into his arms as he held you tightly. Native looked at Stain. 

"Thank you. I have news for you. I told the police what you did. they said they are willing to drop all known charges on you for your help." Native said. Stain shook his head. 

"No. I won't stop till I rid the world of every fake hero or All Might kills me. Dropping any charges won't stop me." He said and looked at you. He then smiled before he ran off. Shinso and Bakugo helped you up but you never let him go and your tears didn't stop. Sure you cried but seeing him just made everything you felt over the past month flow out in a wave of emotions.
