Part 13 | The Royals

JENNIE

"Love, wake up. We just arrived in Suvarnabhumi airport already." Lisa always wakes me up by kissing my lips and welcomes me from my dream with a smile.

I stretched my body upon getting up from my seat. Lisa took two caps from her bag and wore the one and handed me the other. I got curious why we have to wear it.

"Babe, do we really need to wear a cap?" I asked her while she's taking my small backpack.

As soon as we went out of the plane, two men in black suit with walkie talkies bowed their heads to Lisa and I. Lisa greeted them and tapped their shoulders.

I almost forgot she's a royal.
We skipped our luggages as she said it was already taken by her uncle's men and brought to the car.

I wonder why Lisa's life in Korea is far different from what she has here in Thailand. Her family here is strict with her security. While in Korea, her father's strictness is unbelievable.

The Airport provided us with a shuttle so we will no longer walk for like 30 minutes until we reach the gate. Of course, also for our safety, I guess.

When we're at the car already, Lisa told me that this is how she live whenever she's here. Bullet proof cars on convoy and tight security because her uncle wants to make sure she's always safe.

"Babe, let's have fun?" I don't know what she means.

I was surprised when she stood up and opened the sunroof. She grabbed my hand and directed me to stand and bring our upper bodies out so we can see the surroundings. I am amazed of the city lights and cleanliness of Bangkok. I can't stop smiling.

"I want to live here, Love." I don't know where it came from but I just told her that. I saw Lisa's genuine smile.

"Were you reading my mind the first time we introduced ourselves to each other? I told myself, I am going to marry you here and live a happy life in this wonderful city with you." She said. I cupped her face and kissed her while she's supporting my back so we won't be shaken by the ride. Lisa, I am looking forward to have a family with you, love.

After an hour ride, we reached their home. It doesn't look like what I was thinking earlier. I was trembling imagining it's a palace. To my surprise, it's a modern minimalist house in white paint and wooden accents. I thought I am going to be intimidated by a palace vibe.

"You were expecting a palace, Jen? Don't worry. We're normal people. The King just visit the palace once a week, he prefers this as his home." She said and winked at me while she guides me out from the car.

I swear, I am so nervous thinking of meeting the King in a bit.

They are so cool. No royal maids who have to welcome us. No royal ceremony. No royal treatment. I love this!

And soon as we entered the house, we were greeted by the Queen.

"Aunt Malee!" Lisa ran to her aunt and hugged her tight.

"My Pranpriya!!!!!" Her Aunt looks so happy seeing Lisa. She told me once that her aunt keeps insisting her to come back and stay for good in Thailand so she can take care of her.

"Pranpriya, my Lisa! I miss you child!" He must be the King. He hugged Lisa and tapped her head. He and Lisa has the same facial features. He is also good-looking. I am sure Lisa's Mom was so pretty just like her.
