18, Experiences in life

I thought he'd say he didn't wanna call me "Ace" because it's too known by many for it was the name that's included in my scandal. The title had that name of mine.

I hate thinking about my video so I just silently ate my take out meal until I was finished. I still have an hour before my next subject and I might as well just stay here.

Safe's eyes were on me as I returned on the bench.

It's like he was trying to fix the tune or something.

I opened my bag to get my vitamin's bottle and take one tablet. I was already drinking from my bottled water when I turned my body a bit to look at him.

He looked seriously calm while strumming slowly on his guitar. He raised his brows, lips gone inside his mouth a bit before looking back at me. I covered the bottle with the cap and held it down on my lap.

"Uhm... how's your mom?"

"She's fine." he sighed.

"She's... not that worried about you anymore? I..." I looked away with shame. "I'm sorry about that."

"You don't have to say that."

"Huh?"

He licked his lips. "Hindi mo kasalanan ang mga nangyari ng gabing iyon. Stop feeling sorry. What happened were all unpredicted."

I heard his deep sigh once again. I kept my eyes down on my hands. I didn't know... it will feel awkward to stay here with him.

"Aren't you late for your next class?" he asked.

"I still have an hour before that. Uhm... how about you?"

"Wala akong klase ngayon. I don't have anything to do anymore so I decided to stay here like the usual. I only passed some papers for my internship so..."

"Oh..." I nodded slowly, thinking about it.

He did tell me about that. I wonder how their internship would be.

Hinarap ko siya, hindi mapigilan ang curiosity. "Paano ang internship... Uh..."

I instantly regretted asking him.

"Well, it depends. As for me and my other block mates, we'll be staying in a mental hospital."

"Mental hospital..." I whispered.

"Yes..." he said in his deep tone. "Does it sound weird?"

Humarap akong muli sa kanya dahil doon. "No... I'm just..."

He waited for my statement but I only bit my lips. He looked at me as he waited so I drifted my eyes on his guitar.

"You're just?" he taunted.

"Nothing..." I smiled tightly. I was suddenly nervous.

Mga baliw ang mga nandoon. I actually didn't expect him to tell me about it but well, I asked him so maybe he didn't want to be rude. He answered my question. There's nothing wrong about that facility. It's just that... I'm wondering how it's gonna be to stay there and be with some people who were not on their right state of mind.

I didn't talk anymore. I just took my phone out of my bag and glided my thumb on the broken screen. I haven't bought a new phone yet since I can still use this one and I can't waste money that easy.
