20, Moving forward

The rain didn't stop. Apparently, the previous days were all bright and sunny so that's one reason why it's raining so hard today.

I had to leave Safe in the living area and walked to the dining so I can open my wet tote bag.

I charged my phone and placed it on the counter before doing my stuff in the kitchen. I should cook for our dinner. Our, because I can't just think of myself, now that someone's with me. Besides, I am not sure if Sherra will come back tonight but if she does... then there's a cooked meal she could eat.

It's past six now and the sky is so dark. It looks like the hole of it is wet, too. That's not a good sign. I bit my lips a bit while boiling a chicken meat.

I fixed my specs as I sliced some garlic cloves, onion and ginger. I'll be cooking porridge since the weather is perfect for it. Pasulyap-sulyap ako sa sala habang nagluluto. Whenever I look at him, he was only looking at his guitar.

Tila napakalalim ng iniisip niya. I kept on saying sorry for his things while I was there with him in the living because they were really affected by the rain, but he only shook his head, telling me it's not my fault.

I was stunned a little when I caught him looking at me. May hawak pa akong sandok. I felt my heart racing so I immediately looked away.

He sported his normal expression, serious but very calm. I guess that's just really needed for his profession, huh?

I sighed and began moving.

I wiped my hands on my pajamas before walking towards him. He's now trying to pluck his guitar with some chords using his left hand.

"Uhm..." "Let's... eat..."

It was so hard to say it.

He paused for a moment and glanced at the dining table first before darting his deep eyes to me. He smiled tightly as he lifted his guitar off his lap.

"Okay..." he said smoothly.

We went to the dining and settled on the seats, facing each other. I felt so uneasy while we ate. I waited for him to taste it first because I was unsure if he would like it. He smiled a bit. Kumain kaming dalawa nang tahimik.

"Your... parents?" he asked me while I'm blowing the heat of my food on the spoon away.

I stopped but I didn't give him a glance. Now, it came out naturally from his mouth.

I smiled tightly and pushed the big bowl of porridge to his side.

"Kumuha ka pa..." sabi ko.

He nodded and licked his lips a bit. I didn't wanna answer his question.

After eating, he offered to help me in fixing the dishes and the table but I shook my hands in front of him while declining.

"Ako na. Ako na..." sabi ko.
