You Took Me In As One

Chapter 26

I couldn't hear what the doctor was saying, but I know it isn't good. A few minutes after, they came back and said we could go see him. We walked to him room to see him still sleeping. He had gaze around his head and was attached to a breathing tube.

" Whats happening to him?" Riker asked as he sat down on the couch beside Ross's bed.
" They said that he should wake up soon, but he might not be the same." Stormie said, it's looked like she was going to cry. I felt so bad for her.

" What do you mean, ' won't be the same?'" Rydel asked. Stormie took In a deep breath, " He might have memory loss." She brought her hand up to wipe away her tears. Mark walked up beside her and comforted her.

" No." I heard Riker whisper. He put his head down in his hands. I looked around the room and noticed the Laura wasn't in here. I shook my head and grinned my teeth. She is the reason why were here! She's the reason why Ross is in the hospital and she doesn't even bother to come into the room?! The hell?

" I need to go to the washroom, excuse me." I said. I walked out the door and down to the washroom. I did my Business and washed my hands. I walked out and turned he corner to see Laura standing there. I walked up to here.

" Why aren't you in the room?" I angrily asked. " You're the reason why were here, and he's your boyfriend! You should at least be in there with him!" I yelled at her.

" It's none of your business." She snapped. I scoffed. " I have no idea why Ross is with you. He's obviously clueless." I spat. I walked away leaving her there. I walked back into the room to see that Ross has woken up.

" Hey." I sat beside Riker and looked at him. " Um, hi?" He looked confusedly at me, then at his parents. Riker looked at me, then back at Ross. " Do I know you?" He asked. Mark and stormie both looked at each other as I sank in my seat.

He doesn't remember me. " Ross, that's your sister, Jordan." Stormie said. Ross looked over at me. " What? Why? Wait, since when?"

" Um, we adopted her, and for a couple months now." Stormie sat beside him on the other side of his bed. " Oh." I kept my head down the whole time. Ross was the first person I was comfortable with, now I'm a stranger to him.

" Laura!" He yelled making me snap my head up. " Hey! How are you?" I can't believe her.

" I'm good, I guess." He replied. Riker looked over at me, then back at Ross.

" How much do you remember about Laura?" Riker asked. Where was he going with this? " The last thing I remember was leaving to go on tour, and she can and said goodbye.

So he doesn't remember her with that guy at the Venue or at the rink, she's going to get away with it. " Okay." I gleaned at Laura to see her smirking. Laura was sitting on the bed right beside him.

" So how come he remembers everyone else but me?" I whispered to Riker. He just shrugged. " Maybe because you haven't been with us for a long time." I jumped at the voice that belonged to Rydel, I didn't know she was beside me.

" Maybe." I sighed. But the good thing is that his memory loss isn't that bad, he's just forgotten what has happened in the past months, and Me.

" So when is he able to get out?" Marked asked the doctor. " He will be able to get out later tonight, we just have to make sure everything is okay." Mark nodded.

" Do you guys want some lunch?" Stormie asked. Everyone said yes. " Okay, what do you want?" Everyone said In & out. Riker Ryland and Rydel wanted to go, so now it's just Rocky,Ellington, Laura and I.

It was awkwardly silent, so I pulled out my phone and checked my twitter and Instagram. Laura and Ross were talking away and Rocky and Ellington are fooling around, like always.

Laura bent down and gave Ross a kiss, then she left. Now this is just more awkward. I was just about to get up and leave, but Ross' voice stopped me. " Hey," He whispered.
" Hi." I reply, I really don't know what to say anymore.

" Umm. Do you know why I'm in here?" He asked. " No one told you?" He shook his head. " Well, uh, you and I were having a race on the ice, and you weren't paying attention, you tripped and uh, hit your head."

" oh." He whispers. I slowly nod my head, " yep."

Soon after, everyone came back with food. We all started eating and soon enough, Ross was aloud to go home. Everyone went to the front, while I went to the back, alone, to study.

I was taking online classes, and my touter comes twice a week, but sometimes Rydel and stormie help me. I was working on math right now, and let me tell you, it's not going so great.

I was given 3 work sheets that have Long division questions, multiplying decimals and equations.

I wasn't getting any of this, as the time went on, I was becoming more and more frustrated. I slammed the book shut, through it and laid down. I ran my hands over my face and sighed.
