You Took Me In As One

Chapter 27

" Ahhhhh! Stop!" I laugh. I beat my Uncle is a swimming race so now he is tickling me for payback. " Never!" He held back. He kept on tickling me, so I decided to kick him where the sun don't shine, but not hard.

" You shouldn't have done that!" He yelled playfully. " Hold your breath." He warned. I quickly shook my head, but it was shortly after that the water was all around me.

I started laughing underwater, making me lose breath. I tried to swim to the end of the pool underwater, but I lost to much breath. As I tried to make my way up to the top, everything went black.

I quickly sat up gasping for air. My heart was pounding and I was sweating. I took small breaths to try and steady my heart rate. I look around the room, cautious of my surroundings. I grabbed the water bottle on the table in front of me.

As I take slowly sips for the water bottle, hands shaking, my heart rate started to slow down.

I grabbed my phone to look at the time. 8:54, wow, slept for a long time. I stood up and straightened out my clothes. I walked out to see everyone watching a movie.

" Well hello sleeping beauty." Stormie said. I laughed at sat beside her and Riker, still really tired. I laid back on the couch and tried to get comfy again.
" what movie are you guys watching?" Just as I asked, a pirate popped up.

" Never mind." I laughed. It was Pirates Of The Caribbean. " Your dinner is on the table, I would've woken you up, but I didn't know if you wanted to." Stormie laughed.

" It's okay, thanks." I gave her a smile and went to the table. There was salad and a burger. I decided I wasn't that hungry and just ate the salad instead. I sat at the table and watched their family watch the movie.

They were all talking, smiling, and just having fun. My family was never like this. They were always fighting over something. But even know that they got annoying, I still loved them.

I frowned and just kept watching them. Then one thing crossed my mind, why would they adopted me? They already have a big family, and there so close. I don't get why they would need anyone else.

I was close to tears so I stopped thinking about it. I out my burger in the fudge in case someone else wants it. I sat back in my spot as they changed the movie.

It was footloose. I always loved this movie, " Yes!" I exclaimed. Riker just laughed and pressed play. This would always be my first choice in movies, this was the only movie I would watch to fall asleep when I was little.

I was so into the movie, I didn't notice stormie, mark, Ryland and Rydel all leave.

As the movie shut off, I was almost passed out once again. I stood up, starched, then walked to the bathroom. I quickly brushed my teeth and washed my face and hands.

As I walked to my bunk, I bumped into somebody. " Ow, sorry." I mumble as I help my head. I looked up to see Ross. " Sorry." He said. It was extremely awkward so I just rolled into my bunk.

I watched as Riker did the same. He kept his curtain open a bit so I could see him. He started to make funny faces at me.

I giggled quietly. " Good night Riker." He smiled, " Good night Jordan." I shut my curtain and rolled over. But it was hard to fall asleep listening to Ross and Laura make out a bunk above me.

I took out my earplugs and phone and listened to some music to make me fall asleep, and soon I was.

I woke up around six in the morning felling sick. I quickly got up and ran to the bathroom just in time.

As Everything I ate today came up, I felt hands on my back and one hold my hair. I held my face in the toilet and clenched the sides making my nucleus turn white.

After what felt like forever, I was done. I turned around to see that the person was Riker. " I'm sorry if I woke you." I looked down and frowned. " Don't worry, I was already up." He grabbed a hair elastic and tied my hair up.

" Thank you." I grabbed my tooth brush and brushed my teeth. " Are you okay? Do you want some medicine?" He asked. " My head is pounding and my stomach hurts. And yes please." I groan.

He runs off and comes back with 3 pills. I took them and grabbed a glass and filled it with water. I drank them down and walked out.

I sat down on the couch and he sat beside me. " You can go to bed you know. You have a show in a couple hours, you need rest." I tell him.

" I'm always use to waking up early before shows. It's okay." I shrugged and leaned down. " You can lean on me if you want." He suggested.

I slowly leaned into his side as he got himself comfortable. I brought my legs up to my side as my head was in Rikers chest. " You good?" He asked. " Mhhhh. Are you?" He nodded.

And just like that, we fell asleep.

I was woken up by people walking around, and just like every morning, the first thing I do is check my phone.

I checked twitter to see my mentions blowing up. Stormie tweeted me. I clicked on it to see a picture of me and Riker sleeping. And her caption was
' @Rikerr5 WITH HIS LITTLE SISTER💞 @Jordan_Rose LOVE THEM SO MUCH. 💞💖 XOXO '

Rose is my last name, I know, I know, boring twitter name, but I was 10 when I made it, I didn't know what else to do.

As I stood up to stretch, I felt so dizzy that I almost fell over. " Jordan, are you alright?" Mark asked. I tired to talk, but it was like I couldn't. My hand started to numb up. They usually do that when I get sick, I don't know why tho.

" here, lay down and I'll get you some water." Mark laid me down and quickly went to grab water. Ross walked into the room and looked at me. He looked confused, but kept walking.

I felt this felling come over me, one that I was so use to when I was younger. Riker must have seen my expressions cause he was looking really confused and worried. I was just about to open my mouth, but everything went black, and the last thing I seen was Laura.
