It'd been far too long since I've been to the surface. After months of diplomacy and bringing the kingdom my parents brought to ruin back on its feet, I was grateful to receive this vacation.

I know the humans above were in the midst of war, and I would have visited the Marleyans but they seemed quite cruel to ones different from themselves. Paradise island was fairly close to my kingdom.

"Is this too much?" I questioned William who quickly shook his head, "No your majesty, it's perfect," he smiled nervously.

I shook my head, "William please drop the formalities, we're away from home. For now, you are my friend, not my royal advisor," I smiled gently causing him to nod.

Our history was interesting, to say the least. I remember how he almost demanded I help him on his journey.

"So, where do we go from here?" I questioned shuffling in the sand, my gold sandals carrying the particles. I giggled, no matter how much I moved it kept getting between my toes.

"Delphine, it looks like it's this way," he pointed straight ahead, causing me to sigh as we stared at miles and miles of sand.

"Where are the seahorses?"

"Right here, your majesty!" My head guard, Oliver, alerted, causing me to turn around, "they're ready for your ride."

I was happy to see the transformation had gone exactly as planned. There were 5 horses, a perfect fit for me, William, Oliver, and his two right hands, Noah and Lake. I wanted us to appear as nonthreatening as possible. We were here to make allies, but also friends.

"I've seen the beasts roaming this island," Lake muttered distastefully as she helped me onto my horse, adjusting my dress, the slits falling over my thighs for a comfortable fit.

I chuckled, "Lake it'll be fine, we're fresh off a war. If anything we are more than ready to face threats."

She nodded slowly, "I hope they make no threat towards your complexion my queen, or I will relieve them of there heads."

I smiled turning forward, William at my side, "please Lake, we're asking for peace and allies. Make sure the gifts are prepared, in case we run into any Eldians."

"Yes your majesty," Oliver bowed.

"Let's begin our journey."
