𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝟓

The room had a beautiful carpet, with a burning fireplace and a huge couch. There were a couple of couches and Levi was quick to take the one built for just one person. Noah and Lake sat next to me on the floor while I was seated in a one-person chair. The pillows soft around me as I got comfortable and folded my legs.

The others piled onto the couch, waiting on me. Historia was seated in a chair next to me also waiting.

"Ok don't be alarmed," I stated cautiously as I lifted up my hand. I could hear gasps circulate around the room as my eyes darkened from light blue to dark. In the pit of my hand from the cup Oliver held, water began to form into a circle.

"What do you wish to see?"

"The water from the beach," Eren leaned forward shaking from his seat on the couch.

In front of them all, the lights dimmed as the water sphere acted as a screen showing the waves along the beach.

"Woah, what's that?" Hange pointed this time, to a shimmery shape within the water buried under the sand.

I blushed in mild embarrassment, "oh, that's a seashell I forgot, we brought you gifts," at my mention, William fished in his bag, Oliver following his movements, "we brought as many as we could find this morning, I hope it's enough."

They began to pass out the shells, stopping at Mikasa the last one, but unfortunately, they were out.

I winced, "I'm so sorry," but she shook her head, "oh no it's ok, really," waving her arms around.

Eren groaned, "Here," but stopping him from handing it over, Levi stood up, his shell was a mixture of striped colors orange and white, he tossed it in her lap and sat back down sipping his tea slowly.

Mikasa grumbled a thank you, causing me to chuckle to myself there must be some type of tension between them.

Levi rolled his eyes but didn't say a word. The girl who practically stuffed her face with the potatoes was beaming, "It's so beautiful," she was holding a pretty pink one covered in white spots.

Noah grinned, "They used to be protective shields for a sea animal. Their skin tissue would absorb salt and chemicals, thus creating what we call calcium carbonate which then hardens on the outside of their bodies creating a hard shell," Noah paused to scan the young soldiers as they all looked over there shells curiously, "when the sea animal dies it leaves its shell behind and eventually it'll wash up on shore."

The bubbly squad leader, Hange began shaking, "That's so amazing," her eyes widening, "I've gotta write that down."

Eren turned to me, "Wait you said it absorbs salt, is the water really salty?"

I smiled softly, "Yes, there's so much salt in the ocean, I wouldn't recommend drinking it."

Historia chuckled as one of them gleamed, "Woah that's so cool."

Remembering I didn't know their names I asked, "What are all your names?" and leaned forward lifting the ball up causing it to float into the air.

"Oh, I'm Sasha," the girl responded before quickly adding, "your majesty."

I blushed yet again, "oh no no please."

But Oliver interrupted, "Delphine let them respect you," Historia adding to it with an eager nod, "but-."

"No but's," William surprisingly jumped in, "you're queen Delphine and you've helped us to be free. Please take the respect."

I sighed, "it's a pleasure to meet you, Sasha," and bowed causing Oliver to chuckle and Lake to roll her eyes, Noah smiling in amusement and William facepalming quite literally.

She blushed before the man next to her began his hair shaven short, and a simple short sleeve tunic adorned his body, "I'm Connie your majesty, nice to meet ya," he saluted, Sasha shoving his side causing him to wince.

I chuckled, "and you too kind sir."

The next man smiled widely, "you're the second queen I've met in my life, I'm Jean," he gestured to himself, "and if I might say you are quite beautiful your majesty," with a wink.

I couldn't help but feel flustered. He'd been the first male to compliment me other than Noah and Oliver at my coronation, "why thank you, you're a fine solider yourself, and not too bad on the eyes," I returned Lake smirking as he blushed profoundly.

The boy, Eren rolled his eyes before introducing himself, "I'm Eren Yeager, your highness."

"I recognize you from the wall," I stated before pausing a thought coming into mind, "it's good to see you better. I hope you gain rest tonight."

He looked down shyly, "oh you saw that? Um, thanks."

Mikasa next to him looked up in alarm, the cute blonde next to him blushed at the attention now on him, "I'm Armin, wonderful to meet you, your royal highness," he changed up on me causing me to grin. I'd been smiling more today than I had in a while. It felt good.

"And you too, Mr. Armin."

Mikasa looked up, realizing it was her turn, "and I'm Mikasa, nice to meet you, your highness," with a bow causing me to return it.

"Who is your squad leader?" I questioned recognizing the strong bond between everyone.

A voice broke the small silence, "I am," I looked in the direction to find Levi. His eyes were steel grey, his stance was relaxed but I could tell he was tense, his shoulder straight, "the names Levi. We haven't been formally introduced."

"It's nice to officially get your name under better circumstances," I nodded not bothering to acknowledge his lack of 'highness'.

The woman next to him winced, "ah yeah sorry about that, I'm sure you know but I'm Hange, fellow squad leader and scientist," Noah's eyes widened at the introduction, "I'm the Queen's aid, head guard, and head scientist, Noah," he shook her hand.

Lake was next raising her hand almost boringly (which was normal for her), "I'm the Queen's aid, head guard and leader of diplomatic relations."

Surprisingly enough despite her harsh outward attitude, she was the best at helping me with the diplomatic part of the job.

Oliver brushes through his hair with his hand adjusting his legs, "and I'm Oliver, Queen's aid, head guard and head of her military."

Everyone turned to William to smiled shyly, "uh I'm William, her majesty's aid, and head of public or rather all social relations."

Everyone nodded slowly before Jean questioned, "wait what's an aid?"

Oliver thought for a moment, "well we protect the queen from threats, but we also help her make decisions since we know her more than others. We were most logical for the position considering we fought together."

Armin nodded slowly, "you said you were in War and you served in the military. How exactly did you win your war and become queen?"

I chuckled as the years passed so quickly in my mind, "well.... I've always known I was..."
