She was a soldier and the long lost Queen of an underwater world.
When her war is finally over and she is crowned Queen she tasks herself with the mission of creating allies with the people her great grandparents turned away from. Her people didn't...

Levi's watchful eye scanned the newest recruits. The expedition would easily take out almost 70%. Still Delphine's persistent praise and smiles made him feel even more bad for them.
They were young. Their lives ahead of them... Delphine's words not his.
And they would never get to see her smile again.
"Her words bore you yet?" A voice suddenly asked causing Levi to shake his head quickly without bothering to see who it was.
Anyone else who walked by would have seen Levi's arms folded and probably would have ran fearful of his next words if he caught them looking.
"Her words are hopeful, we need more of it," he spoke softly, causing the one who spoke up to chuckle
Levi turned quickly, his eyes widening briefly. He sighed relieved it was just Noah.
Noah nodded, "Yeah, you guys do seem to be lacking in that department," he adjusted his glasses, Levi lifting his eyebrow as he looked to the male scientist out of the corner of his eye.
Noah turned to him, "what?" He asked.
"What are you doing here?"
Noah sighed, "you sure are blunt."
Levi turned back to the sparring recruits, "it's kept me alive."
Noah hummed almost as if he were agreeing with him, "Anyway, you're not subtle you know."
Levi crossed his arms again, "I don't know what you're talking about."
Noah turned to face him fully a doubtful look in his eyes, "If you ever-," however interrupting him Levi turned to face him, "I didn't even say anyth-," Noah shook his head, "Doesn't matter. I have eyes, I'm not blind."
Levi sighed his eyes set on the Queen who bowed at almost every passing soldier. They clumsily returned it, causing her to laugh and ease them into comfortableness no longer scared of her title. Lake shook her head almost annoyed, but at least this was better than Delphine panicking.
Levi shook his head. For him to even consider the possibility of... no. Too many people relied on him. On her. He was a captain, she was a Queen. He had responsibilities and she had responsibilities. He never considered living the quiet life, the life free from war. Now he wondered, if he had met her under different circumstances what would life be like?
Would they even work out?
No. Would she even like him?
He couldn't think like that. Too many things were at stake, he told himself, for him to be distracted by a mere thing called love. Could I even call it love? Maybe this will pass.
Noah shook his head, he could see the thoughts churning in Levi's mind. He no longer seemed to be eyeing the recruits with calculating gazes. Now his eyes were resting on the Queen, however he didn't seem to be aware he was starring. In fact, it seemed he was too deep in his thoughts.
Noah knew what needed to be said. "You're probably thinking, something incredibly dumb like you don't deserve her, too many people need you both, love is a distraction, or maybe you're thinking about how beautiful she looks when the sun hits her just right, how the way she tends to people proves her kindness isn't just for show. Whatever it is, clouding your thoughts and distracting you, there are two things you must remember," he paused for a moment collecting his thoughts, "First love isn't a distraction. It's a motivator. Not only will your love for her make you survive, it will also make you want to make sure those she cares about survive. Second, if there's anyone who deserves her, it's you. The world is constantly changing, enemies rise and fall but the one thing that's constant is Love. One of the biggest things you'll regret is not telling her how you feel, if you lose her."
Before Levi could even speak, Noah walked away leaving him in his thoughts.
He'd never been in love. He'd respected people, admired them yes, but never loved anyone. He wondered if it was supposed to hurt. If it was supposed to make him unsure.
He also wanted to know, was it supposed to make him feel alive?
