"Abby, it's already 1pm. And I'm starving. Maybe you should stop now." Harley yawns as she said it. Her phone's battery must be low that she finally speaks up about being hungry.

I look at my watch and realised it's been 90 minutes since I was playing. I stop and grab my towel from the bench where Harley sits and wipes my sweats off. I might say I am drenched in sweats. Don't blame me, it's been a while since I've been active though.

"Okay, let's freshen up and get tacos. That's what you want to hear, isn't it." I gulp down my water after saying that. Harley's face suddenly lights up at the mention of tacos.

We walk to the locker room and I take shower there to freshen up after all the sweats I've produced. Can't go out with smelly body, right? Not good for people around me.

After changing my outfit to jeans and a yellow sweatshirt, we walk to the parking lot only to be surprised by someone.

William.

"Abby! Harley!" He waves his hand from afar, noticing we almost make it to our car.

"Hi" he says after he finally makes it in front of us.

"Hi. Didn't expect to see you here." I greet him with a wide smile.

"What are you doing here?" Harley asks an obvious question that makes me look at her with 'is that even a question?' face. Of course he's here for tennis.

"Oh. I'm here with my dad actually. Just for some father-and-son time. You? I didn't know you guys play tennis? We could have a match though."

"Oops, not me. Just Abby. She literally just drags me to watch her actually." Harley rolls her eyes.

"Ouch, Harley. Drag is such a strong word. You just agreed by yourself, by the way." I touch my heart pretending I was hurt by it.

Then, I turn to William continuing, "And yeah, I play sometimes. Just for fun. Not so good with it though. I think it won't be fair if we have a match." I laugh a little. I know my skills are getting rusty.

"Liar. She plays all the time and joined competitions when we were in middle school. It's just she doesn't have much time now because she enjoys being a nerd." Harley interrupts before William could reply.

"Oh, really? That's interesting. I might want to watch you play though. I'm not that good myself because you haven't watch my dad. He's an absolute pro." I believe him though. Mr Xavier looks like he works out for having a good body at his age.

"Did I hear someone talking about me?" To my surprise, William's dad comes to us and interrupts our conversation. He automatically puts his hand around William's shoulder. William is taller like maybe 2 or 3 inches from him.

"Oh, hi Mr. Xavier. Just praising your skills in tennis." I give him a smile and Harley too.

"I hope my son talks good about me."

"Well, he is. You don't have to worry because you literally look fine." Harley says and we laugh for her statement.

"That's very straightforward, young lady. You're Abigail's and William's friend, I assume?" he asks as it's his first time seeing Harley.

"Yup, she's my best friend. Sorry, she is very honest sometimes." Mr Xavier just brushes it off and considers it as a joke.

"So, Abigail. You play tennis too? Your Mom never mentions that." I just remember that he is Mom's friend.

"Yeah, for fun. Sometimes."

"Well, we can go play together some other time? How that sounds? Maybe you could bring Emma too?" He gives suggestions and he smiles a little wider when he mentions Mom's name.
