I should have seen this coming.
"Now, tell me what happened last night!" Harley storms right into my door and quickly plops down beside me on my bed.
"What?" I take off my earphone, close my book and look up at her. I'll pretend I didn't hear her while actually it is impossible not to hear her voice at that hertz.
Harley must have known this from Mom. Lately, I think they are hiding a lot of plans behind my back. Maybe I should find another friend to be her gossip gang. Harley and Mom is a dangerous pair. At least for me.
"You and Ryan? Last night? Tell me everything." She shakes my arm.
"You sure you want to know what happened?" I ask.
She nods.
"Even if you will be disappointed with it?"
She frowns but still nods.
"Okay."
I sit straight up and face her. I tell her everything from the moment he came to my door, walked me to the park, the moment I told him about Allan and his reaction. Not a single detail that I miss including how he yelled at me suddenly and I got shocked by it.
"Why did you ran away?" Oh my god, this girl. She can't be this stupid.
"What do you expect me to do? Hug him?"
"No, kiss him!"
"Harley! Are you serious? I was shocked and scared to be honest. You know I don't like being yelled and will tear up automatically. I don't want to be there after what he did." I slap her hand trying to wake her up.
"Yes, I know. But he said sorry, right?"
This time, I nod.
"See? You are the one being difficult here." Is she kind of having the obsession of backing Ryan up?
"Well, you know. We all need some times. And that's what I want."
Yes, that's definitely I'm trying to do right now. Trying to figure what happened and of course it needs time. It's not that I'm so mad at Ryan but I need to clear my mind. I just tried to let things go with Allan's accident and suddenly Ryan became like that is not helping. It's a lie if I said I'm not curious with what happened to him at that time. I just think that he also needs time.
"And I don't believe you when you said 'some' times. You're not going to talk to him first, right?"
I just give her a sheepish smile. She really knows me the best.
"A, it's not going to help both of you if you act like this. I believe you ignored his message. Don't make that shocked face because I'm so professional in knowing Abigail Larson. Now, if you think you already have enough of your time, promise me. You will talk to him." She holds my hand and hands me my phone.
"What if he ignores me too?"
"Seriously you have the time to think about the 'what if'?" She shakes her head and makes a boring face.
"He will not. Trust me." She gives me a reassuring smile.

"Look at that! They did it again! I'm not watching this anymore."
Harley gets up when the scene where Han Solo rides the plane in a speed of light comes out. She surely hates Sci-fi movies.
"Oh, come on! We're nearing the end of the movie! I promise we'll watch something else after Star Wars." I take her hand back to stop her from going anywhere.
"High School Musical, promise?" She holds his pinky finger to make sure I keep my promise.
I roll my eyes, "Yeah, for the 8th times of High School Musical, promise."
"Yeayyy! Okay now I'm going to fill up the popcorn bowl." She takes the bowl and goes to the kitchen.
Just after Harley goes to the kitchen, Mom comes home and gets into the house with some groceries in her hand.
I quickly get up and go to her to give a hand.
"Let me take that." I take the groceries bag and bring it to the kitchen.
"Hey, Harley." Mom greets Harley who is busy refilling the popcorn bowl.
"Hey, Aunt Emma. Good morning."
"How many movies have you guys watched?" Mom ask me.
I take some veges from the bag and open the fridge saying, "It's our first for today actually."
Our fridge is not that big as only us both live in here but Mom is surely a great cook and she always fills up our fridge with anything to cook or ready-to-eat food. When she goes for grocery shopping, usually she only buys the amount that is enough for both of us which means she needs to buy groceries every week and that has been a routine. Don't get me wrong, I'm a good daughter and always help her but today is an exception as I need to wait for Harley to come.
"You know, Abby might not be awake at this hour if I don't come to disturb her. So, having the first movie almost done at this hour is a huge success for today."
"Well, I see that is because the movie is Star Wars." Mom is going to gang up with Harley again. I knew it.
"Oh, by the way, I met Ryan at the Walmart just now. He asks me to make sure you're okay. Did you guys fight or anything? I thought you just met him like last night?" This time, she gives her focus on me.
I take the milk and quickly turn to put it in the fridge before replying," Yeah, we're okay. Nothing to worried about. Maybe it's because I might catch a cold. Well, you know. We got out at night. So, yeah. Actually, I'm okay." I turm to her and give my best smile.
"You sure?"
"Positive." I give her the ok sign.
She turns to Harley and Harley just nods her head.
"Okay, then."
Just before she turns back to put her things in her room, she turns to me, "Oh, yeah. About the tea party. Have you decided to go or not? Because they need the guest list and the total guest basically. Harley can come if she wants."
I turn to her, "Do you want to join us? Next Saturday?"
"Next Saturday? Oh, I don't think I can make it because I have a family dinner at my hometown. My Aunt's family should come back from Dubai that Friday. But still, thank you for inviting me."
"It's okay then." I turn to face Mom back, "I guess I'll join you. There's nothing much to do at home." I shrug.
"Alright, cool." Mom replies and takes her handbag to go to her room before saying, "I'll cook lunch today!"
Harley screams her joy as she is so obsessed with Mom's cook. I'm not complaining though.
