Chapter 50 ❤️ Not lying ❤️

I don't want to wake up for Monday because I know that means I will get a lot of attention. The good attention is I won the Maths competition and hold the winner title for our school again. The bad attention is everyone still remembers about me and Natasha almost getting into a fight and the fact that Ryan and William were there, doesn't make it any better.

I walk into the hallway and go straight to my locker, ignoring the attention I get from the people around me. I don't know what they are thinking, the good one or bad one. I just don't want to know so I think it's better of I ignore it. As soon as I arrive at my locker, Harley is already there as expected. I give her a hug before I open my locker lock.

"So, how was yesterday?" She raises her eyebrows and smiles excitedly.

"Good, I guess. Well, at least I'm not being dumb so yeah it went well."I shrug, laughing a little at her reaction. Her smile drops when I said that.

"No details? You really don't want to share it with me?" She pouts her lips at me.

"Later, Harley. We have a class to attend now. It's school time." I smile and pat her head.

We are ready to walk to our English Literature class when someone stops us.

"Morning, Harley. Abby." Alex comes into the view and I look at Harley with the corner of my eyes and she already blushes at that.

"Morning, Alex." We both reply.

"Sorry for disturbing. I just want to give this to Harley. You drop your usb at the shop yesterday. And it has your initials so I guess it's yours?" He hands out a blue covered usb which I know very well is Harley's.

"Yesterday?" I frown a little at his statement.

"Yes, we bumped into each other yesterday at the book shop. I was printing my theater scripts and he was there too. So, yeah that was basically it." Harley panics and quickly explains to me, knowing that I might misunderstood anything.

I just nod my head.

"Thank you, by the way. I didn't realize I dropped it."

Of course you won't realize. You were busy checking him out.

"Sorry, what?" Harley asks me. Wait, did I said it out loud?

"Nothing."

"Well, not a problem. And anyway, I heard the news. Congrats, Abby. You're really a genius. But not the nerd one. And I meant that as a compliment." Alex turns to me.

I almost choke because I thought he was congratulating me and Ryan but then I realized he meant the maths competition. He holds out his fist to fist bump me and I just give it back.

"Thank you." I smile.

"My pleasure. Oh, well. I think we all need to go to class now before we're late. Bye."

When Alex is no longer in sight, I turn to look at Harley beside me and she smiles sheepishly looking at her usb.

"Are you that happy?"

"Hehehehe"

During recess, I wait for Harley at the cafeteria with the food that Mom packed for me this morning because she said she will get in a little late to work since she has a meeting outside first. I am looking through her messages that remind me to eat the food she packed. I replied to her message and after that someone approaches me and I was expecting Harley.

"Can I sit here?" Adam says.

I look around him and only see him alone which makes me curious. He must realizes that and says, "They went to the toilet. Will be here in a minute I guess."
