I wake up the next day without my alarm because it's Sunday. I take a look at my phone and it's only 8.30 a.m. I go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. I tie my hair in a messy bun. After finishing clean myself, I rush downstairs to eat breakfast.
When I'm halfway at the stairs, I hear some voices.
"Do you want some more?" I hear my mother's voice.
"No, it's okay. I already have much in my plate." This voice is very familiar.
"Boys always eat more. Here, take this eggs more."
When I arrive at the kitchen, I see Ryan and my mother are talking while eating breakfast.
"Mom?"
"Hey, honey. Good morning. Come and eat." My mother greets me and Ryan gives me a smile.
"Good morning, Abby." He says.
"Good morning... What are you doing here?" I take a glass and pour some milk from the fridge. I take a seat across from Ryan.
"Honey, you shouldn't say like that. I invited him for breakfast. I was going to Walmart just now and I saw him jogged alone. So, I invited him here." He jogged? Even though he has games yesterday? That is how fit he is.
"Oh, I see." I take a bacon and scoop some scrambled eggs into my plate.
Suddenly, our house's phone ringing.
"I'll take the phone. Make yourself comfortable." Mom says to Ryan before answering the phone.
"You jogged? Don't you feel tired after yesterday?" I ask him while putting some eggs into my mouth.
"How do you think I get this body?" He raises his left eyebrow. I shouldn't ask that question. I almost choke my food.
"Okay, okay. That's enough. Just let me eat peacfully." I can hear him laughs a little.
My mother comes back and asks me, "Abby, do you have any plans today?"
"Emm,yes. Harley will be coming over today. Why?"
"That's good. Because I have a meeting today. So I need to go. At least you're not alone." That must be an urgent meeting because she never has a meeting on weekends.
"Okay." I give a nod while chew up my food.
"Okay, I'll go get ready now. Ryan, do eat more. So sorry because I need to hurry." She holds Ryan's arm.
"No, Mrs. Larson. It's okay." Ryan's just gives a small smile.
"Why do you call me Mrs. Larson. It's too formal. Call me Aunt Emma. Even Abby calls your mom Aunt Susan."
"Okay, Aunt Emma."
"Abby, don't forget to send him out later."
"Yeah, I know, Mom." I give mom a kiss on the cheek and she goes upstairs to take her things.

"Thank you for the breakfast." Ryan says when we are at the front door.
"You're welcome."
"Maybe you should come to my house next time with your mom. You never goes there yet, right?"
"Sure, why not. I'll tell you later if Mom is okay." I give him a smile.
"Okay, bye." He waves me goodbye and I wave him back.
