"Do what?" Trying to provoke him.

"Date Natasha? The last person in the world I would think of dating is her." He shrugs.

"And why do you tell me this?" I take a step forward. Challenging him.

"I don't know. Why did you get mad at me?" This time, he takes a step forward.

I don't answer him and just look at his eyes. I look away first.

"If not, what about the news? The whole school knows, Ryan." I take another step forward, plus crossing my arms on my chest.

"I didn't know about it. I only knew it from Harley after you ran away. Natasha makes the news by herself. You know how much power she has in this school." He's right though. She's stubborn because she has the power. Everyone is afraid of her, I believe. But not me.

"And why should I believe you?"

"Then, you want to believe Natasha?" he raises his eyebrows. He knows I'll believe him.

He takes another step, while saying, "Now tell me, why you get mad at me?"

"Should I not, then? You literally just stood up for me in front of her, telling me that you're not on her side, and then weeks later I know you 'date' her. You know she hates me. Should I congratulate you, then?" I'm not backing up, I said what I said.

"That's all? You sure that's all why you mad?"

This time, we are too close. Too close that I can hear his breathing. I don't know why but I can't look away. I just holds my head up to look in his eyes.

"Why? What else do you want me to say?" I reply, still standing close to him.

I believe he leans closer to me and I let him.

Just a centimetres away before our lips touch, we hear the boys' voice. They are on our way here. We automatically pull away. I tuck my hair behind my ear and he rubs his back neck. The boys are getting closer I could sense as their voice are getting louder.

"Give me my your scrunchie." He holds out his hand.

"Scrunchie? For what?"

"Just give it."

I take it off from my wrist and give it to him. He turns me around which makes me gasps a little. Then, I feel his hand taking my hair, tying them together. I surprise myself because I don't stop him.

"You look too pretty like this, I need to tie your hair. I'm afraid that the boys will hit on you." I hear a smirk in his sentence.

He said I look pretty.

"Uhh, thanks I guess?" For saying me pretty or for tying my hair, I don't know. I turn around back after he finished tying my hair.

Just then, the boys get in the gymnasium. Well, there are a lot of them. And I don't really comfortable among boys. Like a lot of boys. I unconsciously gets closer to Ryan and holds his sleeve a little, trying to hide behind him. He takes the ball from the floor and pass it to Adam. Easily caught, of course.

"Hye, Abby! What are you doing here?" William is the first to notice me behind Ryan and I move a little to greet them.

"Hye?"

"Oh, Abby's here? What's the occasion?" Adam says. Everyone is now gathering at the middle, around us. Well, I think there are at least 10 of them.

"I... I actually have extra class... I just..." I don't know what excuse I could use so I look up at Ryan. I don't even realize I still hold his sleeve.
