You look over to see Hotch walking out of his office. Morgan walks over to Spencer to keep him from hitting James again.
Another officer goes over to James and helps him up.
"Reid, in my office now," Hotch says.
His tone was angry, you're worried that he's gonna get in trouble.
Morgan walks back over to you and Emily while Spencer follows Hotch into the office, "what was that about?"
"I uh," you were cut off to Spencer walking out of the office. Hotch then tells you to come in his office. You're heart is racing as you walk up the steps and into his office.
Hotch closes the door and blinds.
"Spencer told me why he punched that man."
You take a deep breath and look up at Hotch.
"Would you like to press charges?"
"What would happen if I did?"
"There's cameras in that room, if the evidence concurs then he'll be fired and arrested."
"I guess I'll press charges."
"I'm going to need you to write down your statement and I'll file the report," Hotch gives you a pad and a pen.
You write down the details of everything that happened then give the pad to Hotch. He thanks you and says he's sorry that this happened. He dismisses you from the office.
You walk out.
Hotch walks out with you and goes to tell something to one of the officers. The officer walks over to the guy and puts handcuffs on him.
The team looks at you and you look down.
You walk over to Spencer, "why the fuck did you do that? I was forced to make a report."
"I don't know, I just got mad."
"I know you were trying to help but you shouldn't have done that," you walk over to Hotch and ask him if you can complete the paperwork at home.
He tells you yes and you grab the files and walk out.
You can feel the eyes on you.
You walk out and walk back to the apartment complex, you reach the apartment and go in.
You sit down on the couch and lay the paperwork on the coffee table. You start bawling into your hands.
You were forced to report something like that so Spencer wouldn't get in trouble. You didn't want anyone to know because that would be all they know.
You are upset and honestly you just want everything to disappear at this point.
You never should've joined the BAU.
You never should've gotten your life and your relationship back together. It was all a bad idea.
You shrug everything off and open one of the beige files sitting on the coffee table.
You pick it up and lean on the couch with your pen, starting to fill everything out.
Spencer walks in the door a couple of minutes later.
He comes and sits next to you.
He tries to touch your arm but you reject it, "listen, I'm sorry. I just needed to get back at him for what he did to you. He'll get fired and absolutely no one has to know about this. Just me, you, and Hotch."
You look over, "did you get suspended?"
"Three days."
"It's whatever, don't worry about it."
"You're still mad at me."
"Maybe I am, Spencer. I know you were trying to protect me-" you were cut off.
"Imagine what else he would've done to you, or other women that go into training. Or what he has done to other women."
You pause and look up for minute.
"Whatever, I need to do my paperwork."
"Let me help, I'll finish it faster."
You and Spencer finish the paperwork together, you're still kind of shooken up by what happened and you still feel weird.
But you'll get through it.
