"Hey nerd" I heard Logan say as he sat next to me. I turned my head towards him and grinned. "Hey, butt muffin" I teased him. He stopped and looked at me in surprise.
His friends started to laugh, confusing my friends, excluding Ellie. It was lunch and we are occupying the largest table in the cafeteria. Marc and Chris were sitting together on my right side, Ellie, Charlie, and Claire on my left, and me and Logan sat together with Jana and Dave on the other side.
"One time. That was one time. And how the hell did you even know about that?" He asked, looking irritated. "Marc told me" he rolled his eyes. "Impossible" he growled and turned to Marc. He had a smirk on his face and looked down as I laughed. "Marcus! Is it true?" He exclaimed angrily. Marc just shrugged still with a smirk on his face. We laughed at them
"Oh come on, Logan. It wasn't that bad" Ellie teased him too. He turned to her cautiously. "W-what?" He asked confusingly. "I mean, all you did was sit on a muffin, stood up, and walked around the school without knowing that the muffin was still on your butt cheek" Ellie stated then smiled innocently.
His jaw dropped. He turned to me and Marc with annoyance written all over his face. "You bloody told her?" He exclaimed with his accent showing. My eyebrows raised when I glanced at Marc who whispered something to Chris before leaving. Where the hell is he going? "He says that he had to find Mr.Taft because he's been failing chemistry" Chris informed us then glanced at me with a sly smirk.
Marc you smart, betraying asshole!
Logan then turned to me looking all red. "Hmm?" I smiled innocently. He was now looking deadly.
Oh boy...
"I swear if you did.." he threatened me. I raised my hands surrendering "I didn't! Marc only told me and it may or may not have slipped my mouth and I ended it up telling Ellie the story" I slowly said while preparing myself to run for it "I'm gonna murder you!" He exclaimed in fury.
I squealed then shot up to run for my life with Logan closely catching up, causing our friends to laugh at us. We earned a few weird looks as I tried to keep making him bump into a table by turning left and right multiple times, but to my dismay, he successfully dodged them. Damn it! I completely forgot he was a football player. Groaning, I decided to leave the cafeteria
Never, in my entire life, I have run this fast. I probably should have thought this through before running because I know there was no way I was gonna outrun him. I'm strong as the Hulk, not as fast as The Flash! I turned right and picked up my pace, praying I would reach the school's exit but, before I could even reach the knob he had already pulled me by my waist.
I felt him breathe in my ear and whisper "I got you" I whirled around to face him "I think you forgot that I'm used to running so it was kind of a waste of your time and effort" he smirked at me. I tried to run from him again but I quickly grabbed me and surprisingly, I couldn't get away from his arms. Where is super strength when I need it?
"Nuh-uh! you aren't going away this time" he chuckled as he stopped me from trying to escape. Even though I knew this was just for fun and nothing serious, I couldn't help but feel comfortable. It reminded me too much of Jack. "Logan, let go!" I laughed trying to push the thought of Jack at the back of my mind "Say that you are sorry for teasing a handsome young lad about his darkest secret and promise to not do it again" he stated still holding my waist making sure I wouldn't run away.
"Ok, ok," I said then faced him. "I'm sorry for teasing a not so attractive and kind old lady about his hilarious secret and I promise that I might do it again" I quickly said then ran away again. "You little devil!" He shouted in irritation. Where could I go that he wouldn't dare follow me into? Girl's bathroom! I ran at a rapid speed but before I could even reach the bathroom, for the second time he caught me. "You are seriously going to d-" he cut himself off by looking from a distance. I turned to where he was looking.
