It is our first day back from the Christmas break and it is still freaking freezing. I mean come on at 8 am for goodness sake. I tightened my wrapped arms around Logan. he offered me a ride to school and I said yes because it was at least better than my usual 20-minute walk to school. We reached the parking lot and Logan turned off his motorcycle's engine. He helped me get off then took my right hand and held it as we started to walk towards the main door of the school. Once we entered we earned a few stares. I keep forgetting that Logan's quite popular. I sighed as we approached my locker. I let go of his hand and opened the locker and put my things in there.
"So, judging by the whispers and stares, I guess people know that we're together," I said as I closed my locker. Logan laughed and grabbed my hand "Just ignore them. All they're gonna do is annoy you to death" he told me. I glance at him as we pass by a group of girls glaring at me and eying our hands.
"Are you sure, because I've read enough books to know that people usually don't like it when the girl starts dating the popular guy. Especially other girls who are drop-dead in love with the dude" I whispered loud enough for him to hear and for people to not hear. we reached his locker and he faced me chuckling.
"Look, love, don't worry about what others think. They can't do anything about us because you and I know that we love each other too much to let the hate of the people around us get between our relationship." he paused before opening his locker and continued "So turn that frown upside down because it doesn't suit you and if they ever try and sabotage us, which I doubt they'll ever succeed, they're gonna have to go through me. Alright? No one's gonna hurt you, not on my watch" he finished as he closed the locker and turned to me.
I smiled at him while he pulled me closer to kiss my forehead. I looked up and said "I love you" he smiled and kissed my lips "I love you too," he said in between kisses. we pulled away as the warning bell rang.
He walked me to my first class since we didn't have it together. we stopped right outside the door of the classroom "Do you want to mess with the group later at lunch?" he asked with a sly smirk. I grinned at him and nodded. "Ok, I'll tell you how later," he told me before saying goodbye. I went inside and immediately saw Ellie.
she happily waved at me and I practically ran towards her. I hugged the life out of her and sat on the vacant chair next to her. "I missed you so much!" she exclaimed, "I missed you so much too!" I giggled. We talked for a while before the teacher got our attention.
After a few hours, it was finally lunch and I was excited. not only because it was the first time of the year for us to be all together but also Logan and I's plan will be amazing. I walked towards our table seeing Claire, Charlie, Jana, Marc, and Ellie already there. They greeted me with hugs and kisses. We talked and ate a little.
I'm glad they didn't start treating me differently. it's like they never found out which is nice. After a few minutes Logan, Chris, and Dave showed up completing our group. Logan purposely didn't sit next to me which caused a few weirded out and worried looks from our friends. We've been sitting next to each other ever since day one so it must have looked weird to see him not by my side but they didn't question it. We were talking when Dave decided to confront us.
"Okay, what is up with you two?" he asked, making the others look. "Nothing" Logan muttered as he took a bite of his chicken salad. I just shook my head, suppressing a smile. "Are you sure? because first of all you guys are not sitting together which is weird because you always do, and secondly you guys barely acknowledged each other." Chris said, raising an eyebrow at us.
"Yeah and it seems like you two are ignoring each other" Claire added looking worried. I sighed "Look, guys, it's nothing, ok?" I looked at them and it's clear that they're not buying it. "Bullshit" Marc spoke, making us look at him in surprise. "Marc!" Chris and Jana exclaimed at him. "What? don't you agree? there's something wrong." he said shrugging. Logan groaned and I rolled my eyes at him.
