"I need your help" I looked up and saw a frantic Jana carrying a suitcase, along with her hanged and covered prom dress. I opened my phone to check the time and it was 8 in the morning. "bub, what are you doing here? prom doesn't start until seven.'' I told her as I ate my cereal. She sighed and put her things at the side of the room and approached the table, sitting in front of me.

"I need your opinion on something," she said leaning on the table. I tilted my head in confusion. "What about?" I asked, taking a spoonful up to my mouth. "How can you tell if a person loves you?" she asked. I stopped and put down the spoon. "Uhm, why?" I questioned, putting my hands forward. she scratched her head and just looked at me in the eye. I then realized what's going on.

"Oh my god, you guys haven't said the L word yet, have you?" I said with my jaw slightly dropped. She nodded, sighing. "It's just so... frustrating. I mean even I don't know what I feel about him. All I'm sure about is that I don't want to lose him. I'm scared that if I say that I do love him, he'd freak out and leave, and I don't want that." she explained then groaned. Dunking her head on the table, I laughed a little.

"Jana, don't get me wrong but, have you seen the way Chris looks at you? The boy is head over heels. He's like a lost puppy when you're not around. He does love you, trust me." I told her. she blushed and gave me a small smile. "You think so?" she asked with hopeful eyes. I smiled at her and held her hands.

"I'm pretty sure. I think you should tell him tonight. And if I'm wrong about him, then, I have to kick his ass because he is missing out on the most amazing woman I know" I said, causing her the grin. "And if you're right?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "Then I deserve a free meal from both of you" I stated. she laughed and shrugged. "Sounds good to me," she said before giggling.

"Now come on, we need to get ready" she added standing up and grabbing her stuff. I groaned. "Do we have to? I mean we have a lot of time in our hands!" I whined. Jana shook her head "No no. we need to get our nails done already so we don't have to panic when we realize that we have very little time left to do our hair and makeup" she said, pulling me up. I sighed "At least let me finish breakfast," I said. She gave up and told me to be in my room at 10 minutes.

"Hello Dear, I see your friend is early" dad came in as I washed the dishes. "Morning dad" I greeted him with him kissing me on the head. "You guys getting ready for tonight?" he asked. I nodded. "Yeah, the girls are all coming over later. Jana just came early to talk about something. hope that's okay?" I said. I think I told my mum about it but I might have forgotten to tell my father. "Yeah, sure. as long as no boys are coming" he said in a warning tone. I laughed "Only when they come to pick us up," I told him, making him grin and nod satisfyingly.

"Well, I'm going up to my room. Don't want to get killed this early" I said causing my dad to laugh. "Alright. And don't make too much noise, your mother is still asleep" he said, making his voice a bit louder as I walked toward the staircase. "Got it" I called out loud enough for him to hear and not wake up my mum. If that even makes sense.

I reached my room and saw Jana finishing setting up all of her makeup and a bunch of things for your hair and everything. She turned to me and grinned "Let's get beautiful" she said and pulled me to do my nails. I've noticed that she already did hers. After God knows how long, she finishes my nails and proceeds to do her makeup.

"Hello?" someone said, opening the door. the two of us looked at who just entered. Claire and Ellie "Hey. Your dad let us in" Ellie informed me. They started fixing each other up. We did our makeup and hair and after a few hours, we were all done. Ellie said that we needed to be simple yet elegant so that's what we did and along the way, they taught me a few new things about makeup. We went down when my mum called us for a bit of lunch.
