Foxpaw watched as cats gathered around, Redstar was on a large tree. Most likely their own MeetingBoulder, he had already called cats to come closer.
Applepaw stood below, her green eyes blazed excitedly. Thicketstripe was by her, though she didn't feel happy for her apprentice to become a warrior.
A breeze drove by the camp, the flakes came quicker now and some of it was already piled up. Flatpaw was shivering, his tail was tucked and his chest fur warmed his paws.
Foxpaw didn't mind, they were lucky not to get sick from the river. It was most likely they would have, but it seemed they were strong enough to fight it off.
"I, Redstar, leader of CloudClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn, " he yowled.
Cats muttered something below, and some called her name excitedly. Especially two kits who were with their mother.
"Applenose, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"
Applepaw turned her gaze to Thicketstripe. "Yes," she finally meowed for a few heartbeats.
Thicketstripe's face was still stern, but her whiskers twitched happily."Then may StarClan grant you your warrior name." Redstar gazed at the sky as it settled. "Applepaw, you will be known as Applenose, CliffClan is proud of your swiftness and courage and welcome you as a full warrior of CliffClan."
Applenose blinked gratefully, cats began to yowl her new name. "Now Applenose, you may start your vigil, us cats will rest."
Cats began to go back to their dens, Redstar stood at the clearing for a few heartbeats and entered. Applenose looked back, she beckoned her tail for Foxpaw and Flatpaw to come.
Creakpaw and Featherpaw who were pretending to go to their dens, crawled down again. Their ears pricked up and their tails lashed in case some cats saw them.
"Thank you Applenose." Foxpaw purred.
Applenose said nothing but nodded, her green eyes were warm and welcoming. She could tell how much she wanted to speak. Creakpaw pushed out the camp and Featherpaw behind. The ground was cold with the snow that fell.
Foxpaw followed them, Flatpaw sighed and pressed himself towards her. "What will be our excuse?"
"We haven't told them about my dream." Foxpaw reminded him.
"Oh right." he mewed sadly.
Foxpaw fastened her pace. "We need to meet up." Foxpaw told him.
"Why?" It was Creakpaw who replied, his neck fur bristled.
Foxpaw glanced at him but then looked at Featherpaw. "Because I had a dream." she mewed hesitantly. "BreezeClan will drive you guys out. Now CloudClan has to help you."
"Oh." Featherpaw murmured. "What will we do?"
"Most importantly, why didn't they share that with our medicine cat?"Creakpaw retorted.
Foxpaw flicked her tail, why didn't they share it with their medicine cat? CloudClan had no business with CliffClan.
Foxpaw didn't reply, she looked at her ginger paws sadly. "I'm not sure. Perhaps it's my destiny?"
"But Foxpaw is right." Featherpaw pointed out. "We will meet up in three days, when the moon is high." he stopped, sniffing the nearby forest. "Here's your stop." He turned to face Flatpaw and Foxpaw. "Meet at the Pine Trees."
