Foxpaw couldn't stand the cats bickering all day, finally she let out a yowl. "Quiet! Whatever you are talking about is not important. We must help you, and the sun is coming and we don't have a plan!"
The cats quieted down. They stare at Foxpaw as if she was a leader. "I have a plan." Applenose yowled. "In the Gathering we'll make an announcement!"
Murmurs of agreement grew by the three other cats. "Okay anything else?"
"Nothing Foxstar." Featherpaw meowed, stifling a laugh.
Foxpaw let out a growl, but then she stopped. What is it like being a leader? She thought, is it cool? I want to be a leader! And nobody can stop me! She clawed the sandy ground, no one.
"So that's our plan." Foxpaw meowed loudly to the cats. "Then we must all go, if one cat does not go."
Creakpaw flicked his tail impatiently. "Yeah, yeah." he hissed. "Are we telling our leaders?"
Foxpaw nodded. "Yes, we must."
Featherpaw flicked his tail. "I'll escort Foxpaw out," he mewed. "Go."
Creakpaw flattened his ears and turned to him. "Okay if you must," he replied, turning to push into the hollow.
Featherpaw followed behind them, Foxpaw let out a sigh already ready to feel squished again. She lunged forward only to hear the cats mutter angrily about how little space this hollow had. Starting to sound like Pebbletail, Foxpaw muttered to herself, her stomach churned. She forgot Pebbletail died! And it's all my fault!
Featherpaw rested his tail on Foxpaw's shoulder, when they got to the pitch black cave, the cats took another way. "Where are you heading?" Foxpaw yowled, she heard the echoes of her voice.
"This cave leads to the Pine Trees and mountains only." Creakpaw meowed loudly in reply. "We're heading home!"
"Oh." Foxpaw sighed. "Shouldn't you go as well Featherpaw?"
Featherpaw twitched one of his whiskers thoughtfully. "Er . . . I would, but I wanna take you." his fur began to bristle. "Home, you might not know the way," he continued.
"Okay if you insist." Foxpaw sighed, rolling his eyes. She let out a yawn, ready to go back to her bedding and sleep. Please StarClan let me nap quietly!
Soon they emerged from the hollow, Featherpaw flicked one of his ears. Dust flew from his ears. "Okay you know your way." he told her briskly. "Please be careful. And tell your leader, this is important."
"Yeah, yeah I know." Foxpaw muttered, I wasn't born yesterday!
The sun was beginning to set, Foxpaw had already asked Sunstar about CloudClan fighting alongside CliffClan. She hoped that Redstar agreed. But would SlopeClan help as well? Please StarClan don't cause chaos!
Flatpaw emerged from the medicine den, a herby scent stung in it's pelt. "Are you going to the Gathering?" he mewed, Foxpaw could tell he wished he could come as well.
Foxpaw gave her brother a brisk lick between the ears. "Yes," she meowed bravely. "I can't wait! I hope Creakpaw, and Applenose are here."
"Especially 'Featherpaw'." Flatpaw muttered adding on her comment.
"What makes you say that?" Foxpaw demanded, she bared her teeth. "Do you think I like that flea-bag?"
Flatpaw's only reply was hiss. "You know you like him."
