Creakpaw rolled his eyes and continued to groom his pelt. "Where are the rest?"

"They scattered!" Applenose wailed. "We don't know where they are, and we were afraid you were lost as well."

"Sorry I ruffle your fur so much." Foxpaw muttered. "Where are the rest of the kittypets?"

Featherpaw blinked and Creakpaw shrugged. "How should we know? We all scattered! Except some."

Talon let out a screech of annoyance. "Just bring Claw and Bingo here at once!"

Suddenly a plump black she-cat and a pale ginger tom came, their tail waved. "You called us Talon?"

Talon blinked and let out a purr. "Dove had her kits!"

"Congratulations!" the tom mewled.

"I'm not done!" he hissed. "Dove doesn't want to keep them, she wants to give them to the Clan cats, she said that she will take them in." he pointed to Foxpaw.

The tom dug his claws into the ground. "She deserves to keep her kits! And you too! How would you like to live without seeing your kits grow?"

"I know I know." Talon mewed. "Bingo what do you think?"

The plump black she-cat shuffled nervously. "I . . . I think Dove's right. This is for the best, we are getting threatened at every corner, and I don't want your kits to live like that forever."

Claw rolled his eyes. "Okay, okay."

Applenose jumped up, her fur was fluffed out twice her size. "We will take them."

Foxpaw padded over to the Twoleg nest, Dove eyes opened as the cats entered. The three kits squirmed around letting out mewls.

"Thank you." Dove whispered to Foxpaw.

"We'll name one of your kits Talon and Dove, just after you." Foxpaw breathed.

Dove gave her kits a few licks then Talon. Foxpaw picked up the pretty tortoiseshell, she let out a loud mewl of alarm.

Creakpaw picked up the light gray kit, and Applenose picked up the dark gray kit.

Foxpaw gave the kits brisk licks before exposing them to the cold. "Make them warm!" she ordered.

Featherpaw padded to her and helped make the tortoiseshell kit warm. When the kit seemed warm enough, they picked them up. "Careful!" she mumbled, her mouth full of fur.

They walked through the snow, Foxpaw's breath quickened as they got near the river. The river was beginning to ice, but Foxpaw knew it wouldn't be long until it freezed. Even though it seemed tough and sturdy, a cat could fall through the ice into the freezing water.

Foxpaw staggered up the fallen tree, she turned behind seeing Featherpaw cautiously watch Foxpaw if the kit fell. Behind her she saw Talon, Claw, and Bingo watching. In the distance she saw Dove walking by the river.

Please let these kits in, their parents would probably leave and they'll be homeless! Foxpaw jumped down the fallen tree and the other cats followed.

"We're almost there." Foxpaw promised.

They ran through the snow, the kits dangled from their jaws. Foxpaw didn't dare to look back, if those kittypets changed their minds . . . nevermind. If they don't have Twolegs, can they be called kittypets?

Foxpaw saw the gorse tunnel, she warily stepped in, trying to not get the kit hurt. When she entered, she smelled Bumbletail.

She padded to the nursery, Creakpaw, Applenose, and Featherpaw followed. They found Bumbletail curled up, sleeping, and her kits as well.
