Foxclaw trotted out of the warriors' den, she saw Flatwhisker guarding the camp. But she had to see Featherheart! He can't speak, so maybe he'll let me go.

Foxclaw padded to the entrance, her fur prickled with hope that her brother would let her go. "Just going on a moonlight stroll." she lied.

Flatwhisker tilted his head. He opened his mouth to speak, but Foxclaw lashed her tail over his mouth. "Remember, your vigil?" Foxclaw meowed.

Flatwhisker sighed and shifted forward a bit, letting her pass. Foxclaw padded out of the gorse tunnel. Her fur ruffled in the wind, Foxclaw let out a shiver. Turning to CliffClan's direction of their camp. Spinning around, she saw the tree that had the small hollow.

Foxclaw pushed inside the hollow, it felt warm and damp. Little droplets of water fell down those tunnels at the top of the cave roof. Foxclaw felt her paws prickle with the sharp pebbles beneath her feet. Shaking her pelt she sat down, waiting for Featherheart's appearance.

Foxclaw peered through the dark tunnel, out of there Featherheart's body loomed out. Along with someone else, Foxclaw's eyes widen with confusion.

Biting back a yowl, Foxclaw jumped back. Her fur bristled at the unfamiliar scents of a cat. Her scents stank of crow-food, Foxclaw wrinkled her nose in disgust.

Finally hearing the soft voice of Featherheart. Foxclaw shook her head and looked up. "Foxclaw?" Featherheart meowed in disbelief.

Foxclaw blinked, the cat beside her fur bristled. "Featherheart, who's this?" it snarled.

Foxclaw unsheathed her claws, ready to slash the cat's face off. Foxclaw shook a few droplets off her head and faced the unfamiliar cat. "Who is this?" Foxclaw demanded before the cat could.

"This is my littermate Creampaw." Featherheart finally meowed in reply.

Creampaw's fur bristled, it was pale with darker speckles and her amber eyes glowed in anger. Her muscles rippled through her skin as she got ready to attack Foxclaw.

"If she's your littermate and an apprentice, why wasn't she in the apprentices' den?" Foxclaw snarled.

"Because," Featherheart continued. "When she was an apprentice, a Twoleg was on our side of the mountains. Since Creampaw was out and didn't notice them . . ."

"Didn't notice?" Foxclaw interrupted scornfully. "Even a kit would notice a Twoleg!"

"She's blind for StarClan's sake!" Featherheart snapped.

Foxclaw noticed Creampaw's blind gaze, she wasn't staring directly at her, instead up. Foxclaw tried to stop her fur from bristling, shaking her ruffled pelt she lifted her head. "Where are you heading?"

"To a Twoleg place." Creampaw replied. "I was a Twoleg toy when they got me, and I went to the cutter, I don't feel like doing work day and night like you forest cats do."

"But you are a forest cat!" Foxclaw insisted.

Creampaw lashed her tail. "So?" she meowed steadily. "Maybe I just don't want to be, Featherheart take me to my Twolegs." she demanded.

Why is she controlling Featherheart like a toy? She has no rights for that! Foxclaw blinked. "I want to come as well!"

"Are you sure?" Featherheart mewed.

"I am sure." Foxclaw insisted. "It feels like moons I haven't seen you, what harm could be done just visiting you and going places with you?" Featherheart opened his mouth to protest, but Foxclaw cut him off. "Let's go. We don't have all night."
Creampaw blinked in disbelief. "Featherheart you like this flea-bag?" she gasped. "From another Clan?" I'm not a flea-bag!
