Vanity eyed the crowd of teenagers at the party dancing. They seemed incredibly happy and downed drinks as they grinded on each other.
In Vanity's right hand she held a glass of red wine spiked with a bit of blood from the unsuspecting bartender. Throughout the years Vanity noticed humans rarely changed. They were still party seeking and danger seeking.
Although in this new century it got worse. They all would seek out danger and a thrill hence when they were all at this party despite the current events in the world.
Vanity's eyes settled on two people who caught her attention the most. The ones who would be the easiest to separate. Vanity had adjusted to living in the spotlight of humans, but she still enjoyed feeding.
The two people who caught her attention was a small girl who had been convinced here by her sister and then one of the frat boys who was too wasted to do anything. Vanity was more interested in the girl. She preferred a more natural taste.
Vanity set the cup down before making her way through the crowd. Her red glittery dress flowed with her as she appeared behind the girl.
"Hello love. Seems you're not having fun." The girl turned around and froze under Vanity's gaze like most humans.
They always struggled to take in the godlike features of vampires. The marble like looks and vibrant hair and eyes. Vanity's hair fell down her shoulders in maroon waves.
"Uh, h-hello." The girl stuttered out. Vanity smiled at how she was taken aback by her presence.
"You seem to be not having an enjoyable time here. Why don't we go somewhere else?" Vanity stared into the girl's eyes making sure to lay on her glamour.
"That would be nice." The girl murmured and Vanity smiled as she placed her hand on the back of her neck and led her away from the main section of the party.
This was one thing Vanity would always find delight in. The thrill of the hunt. With the way things were now Vanity had to be much more careful with hunting and use her glamour more. But it was always worth it.
Vanity led the girl to the back as she took one last final glance at the party as her eyes deepened into a blood red. The perfect way to spend Halloween for Vanity was to be feeding and hunting. She smiled before turning back to finish off her night.
