Who knew it would be Frank's Diner to show Ana that midnight cravings could be dangerous?
At midnight Ana got a craving for burgers and went driving out. But in the small town she lived in only Frank's Diner was open. People tended to avoid the diner due to the rumors of the mascot that sat out on the bench being haunted.
Ana was surprised the place hadn't gone out of business. Mere luck kept the place running. She quietly pulled into the parking spot unable to resist the craving of a burger. After parking her car, she got out and went up.
Ana's eyes flickered over to the mascot on the bench. Frank's Diner had a pirate with a singular hook. He was young and wore a lapel jacket and pirate hat along with a hook on his hand. Ana walked past and went inside causing the bell to ring.
"Welcome to Frank's Diner, how may I help you?" The cashier asked as Ana came up and looked over the menu.
"I'll have a double bacon cheeseburger with onion rings and a strawberry milkshake." Ana answered and the cashier nodded.
"Will that be all?" The cashier asked and Ana nodded.
"Ten thirty-nine." Ana handed the cash over before sitting down. She remained quiet as she watched the cashier disappear behind into the kitchen where one of the cooks stood talking to her.
Ana looked over at him. He was tall and strangely resembled the statue outside excluding the hook on the hand. He smiled at the cashier before looking over at Ana and nodding. Ana watched as he began making the burger.
"It should be out in ten minutes." The cashier said coming out and Ana nodded as she turned her attention to her phone and began playing a game.
Having her attention of it made her miss the cashier leaving as the cook watched her closely. Ana was unaware of what was going on. She kept her attention on her phone before she heard footsteps and looked up to see the cook in front of her.
"Here's your food love." He said handing her the bag that read Frank's Diner.
"Thank you." Ana said taking it from him as went outside and took the burger out and took a bite.
"Mm." Ana murmured. "Might have to come here a bit more often." Ana murmured to herself as she unlocked her car once more missing the cook coming out the back door with a rag in his hand.
He poured something in it before silently coming up behind Ana. Ana opened her door and set her things in before stretching. Just as she went to get in arms wrapped around her and she was slammed into someone's chest and a rag went over her mouth.
"Hush darling, I promise you we'll have lots of fun together." Ana looked up her eyes locked on the cook as he smiled at her wearing the same outfit as the statue. "Just breathe in love." Slowly Ana's vision went black as the cook picked her up and walked off happy to have received the gift from the cashier.
