Brie paused as she looked up at the lights flickering as she pushed the wagon of carved pumpkins down the street.

Brie had just finished carving the pumpkins for her neighbors and was now passing them out. She wanted to do something nice for Halloween, so she picked this, but now the lights were flickering.

Brie didn't have a flashlight on her, so she was depending on the lights to see where she was going.

"Don't go out." Brie murmured.

Brie stopped as she held the handle of her wagon looking around when she caught sight of a hooded figure messing with the streetlights. Terror seized her as the lights flickered before going out with the last thing, she saw being the hooded figure looking up.

Brie fumbled through her jacket for her phone to activate the flashlight on it and just as she pulled it out the lights flashed back on in colors of orange, yellow, and black as she pointed her flashlight before jumping back.

"Sorry Brie, I thought everyone was inside right now." Brie stared at her neighbor Virgil. He saw about her age and was a sophomore in college. Virgil smiled at her.

Brie looked up. "I was changing the light colors to bring more of a Halloween spirit in." Virgil explained as he smiled at her.

"Oh okay." Brie murmured and he smiled.

"You carved pumpkins?" Virgil asked and Brie nodded.

"Yeah I'm just passing them out now." Brie explained and Virgil nodded.

"Do you want some help?" Virgil asked and Brie nodded as he came over and began helping her as the two went to passing out the pumpkins.
