Kiefer sat patiently at the table waiting for The Order to show up. He was invited into it after the ending of The Trial. Kiefer was here to help establish the way the world would work once more.
When society collapsed, they started The Trial to cull the population down. Only the smart and strong would survive The Trial. Kiefer was one of few who had never been subjected the horrors of the trials, but his best friend and his girlfriend had been.
There was nothing worse than losing not only his best friend but his sister as well. All for entertainment and 'culling' purposes. So many people suffered, and lives were lost.
Kiefer now has the chance to fix it. He smiled as he heard the door open and the leader of The Order walk through. They thought he wasn't aware, but he knew the ones who had sponsored The Trial were also now in The Order.
The leader: Joshua took a seat across from Kiefer who looked up.
The people had elected Kiefer to be the one who spoke to The Order. The Order wanted to bring order back to the people. But they had already rioted and tore The Trial down and wouldn't hesitate to do it again to prevent more innocent deaths.
But guilty deaths?
Kiefer smiled. "How are you?" Joshua asked as he took a seat.
"I'm fine." Kiefer answered and Joshua nodded.
"We've come to discuss with you how we will move forward. You were elected by the people to speak to The Order and produce how we will move forward from this." Joshua said and Kiefer nodded.
This was his only chance, and he wouldn't blow it.
They had taken people from him and the others loved ones around him. It was time they got their revenge in more than just a few burned down buildings and the ordered hit of who created The Trial.
It was time they had a taste of their own medicine.
Kiefer felt himself hesitate for a singular moment. His sister had always enjoyed peaceful approaches. She wouldn't want this. . . but her peaceful approach had gotten her killed in The Trial.
Kiefer shook his head. He would not let the innocents suffer again.
"We are going to bring back The Trial, but this time it's for the rich ones who created it."
