Skye's POV

I hadn't expected school to be a breeze not only did most people fear me but now they also thought I would burn them. I could think of a thousand more subtle ways to take people out besides, the classroom was empty, I'm not that stupid.

Usually Brooke would have talked my ear off by now but instead there was complete silence. I peered around our lockers that act like metal shields. She was too busy staring into the distance to notice. It wasn't till I followed her view that I realised that it wasn't a thing it was a person.

"You know you're going to scare her off if you keep gawking at her" She jumped hitting her head on the metal, I laughed but she groaned.

"I can't just talk to her, she isn't even into me"

I rolled my eyes at her excuse " Oh please, you two have more chemistry going on than the science labs"

"Just because Josie's also bi doesn't mean she likes me. She could have anyone, she's stunning"

I grabbed her both shoulders ripping her eyes away from the view of the tall model worthy auburn beauty.

"I know you didn't just insult yourself" I sassily said "You're more than capable of being with Josie, stop selling yourself short because you're already pretty short" Her smirk made an appearance, I owe so much to Brooke so as her best friend I will always pick her up when she's down.

She came out as bisexual a few months ago and it went smooth enough, with time. Her parents didn't quite understand but they loved her no matter what. She was nervous how the Mafia would see her but it's not like she has to answer to them. Even my Dad reassured her if she had issues he would make sure they were handled; my brother will do anything for a fight so I wasn't concerned. Brooke was relieved she could finally be out and happy.

"Fine, I'll ask her out, when you make things official with Grayson" this was her get out of jail card, she knew I would fight.

She crossed her arms with a proud grin "You can't play me like that"

"Everyone thinks you're a couple since that kiss"

"it wasn't just the one" I whispered under my breath, tightening the grip on my English books.

"NO WAY!"

"Sshh" I hushed trying to drown her reaction out. No wonder she does the tech side, she would suck at being secretive.

"You better spill"

"One at school, one that you actually interrupted and one on the studio roof. Happy?" She nodded "For now" Ugh, I knew she would drop it but I'm not one for detail.

"Hey girls" Josie's sweet voice broke our conversation "umm Brooke do you want to walk to science together?" She sounded nervous just like Brooke did when she was talking about her, usually I would put whoever it was in their place for lack of manners but this is an exception.

"Make spark fly" I whisper mocking her as they walked away, she flipped me off as expected. I walked to class with a smile.

I should have appreciated working from home when I could. It was a total snooze fest, it wasn't till I got a text that I felt slightly alive and not bored to death.

'Skye, meet me at Lorenzo's '

We've learned he's a man of very few words but at least he didn't send something completely incriminating. I put my grin aside and made a fake excuse for my departure. My teacher didn't exactly care.

I knew someone who was probably bored out of their mind too.

'Grayson Riley to the front office'

Sure, enough the strong bad boy figure that I had become fond off approached. I jumped out catching a fist that was directed to my face. His face turned when he saw who it was, I would say a little regretful but still mad.

"You should really look who it is before you go around punching people" I released his hand with a smile

"You're lucky I didn't shoot you"

I rolled my eyes "Ugh, guns. So unoriginal"

He squinted baffled "I'm sorry but what exactly do you use?" he scoffed

Within a second, I pulled a throwing star out slightly flicking it to catch it.

"That's why you're called X. It's the shape of your star"

I smirked at his confidence "Nice theory but no it isn't" I like keeping him guessing

"Whatever. Now, if you don't mind I have somewhere to be" He started storming off

I held back my laughter and crossed my arms "Front office? That was me"

"Excuse me" He looked slightly pissed off

I caught up with him "Oh come on, I got you out of Math. You should be thanking me"

"you're an idiot" He started poking me I squirmed when I felt him touch my ribs. I swatted his hands away "Is this a plan to get me alone and jump me again?"

"Very funny" I scowl nudging his shoulder "Marco finally decided to cough up, we're meeting him at the club"

With that he nodded and pulled his car keys out. It was probably a bad idea to bunk off when I've only just got back but as far as the schools concerned there was a family emergency involving both mine and Grayson's parents. They can check all they want but we live by deny till you die.

Minutes later Grayson parked the car the exact place as we did the other night. As far as I know he's only been here once and he wasn't even driving. Someone's been stalking.

"Beautiful, back already?" Baxter's charming voice boomed as I walked to the bar.

The club was considerably quiet compared to the 'ladies night' the lights were dim and the floor empty. Clubs really do come alive at night.

"You know it pretty boy" I winked and he pulled me in for a hug. I heard a grumble behind me and slowly pulled away, I really could do without an awkward conversation.

Baxter nods his head in Grayson's direction "Who's this?"

"This is Grayson" Baxter smiled but Grayson remained still.

Baxter extended his hand "Pleasure to meet you, I'm Baxter"

"I'm aware" Grayson growled. Someone's moody, it's not like him to be rude. Baxter shook it off and slipped behind the bar.

I gave Grayson a disproving glare. This is work and I'm starting to regret bringing him.

"You wanna try my new drink?"

The pink and purple mixed cocktail looked incredible.

"Baxter it's noon" I rolled my eyes "Make it a double" I laughed sliding the glass closer. I bought it to my lips waiting for the cool beverage to solve my thirst. I took one sip when it was pulled from my hands. The cultrate of course was grumpy himself.

"There wasn't even a kick" I defended and he doesn't decide how I live.

Baxter leaned back on the bar "Yeah, relax dude it hasn't got alcohol in it" we both chuckled at how annoyed Grayson got, Baxter's right he does need to relax. He rolled his eyes and sunk into his seat.

Marco finally made an entrance. I thought Grayson's patience was going to boil over. He squinted at Grayson. I sighed dramatically

"At this rate we need a group chat" Baxter laughed shining his precious Gin tumblers "This is Grayson, he's new" I wanted to add he's my problem but I don't think he'd see the funny side.

"Nice to meet you" I find it amusing how they think Grayson doesn't already know them, he's been all stalker on them for days.

Grayson managed to actually greet him unlike Baxter.

"Come on fun police, you're coming with me" I took his hand in mine and dragged him along. Of course his smile returned, showing off to Baxter.
