Skye's POV
I didn't ask where we were going but I know the further we went the calmer I got. It was the first day of school and I've already walked out and even worse, Grayson walked out with me.
"I'm sorry" I say quietly breaking the dreadful silence.
"For which part?" He had amusement in his voice
I dramatically turn my head, having a perfect view of his grin "Lack of explanation and making you walk out of school"
He takes his eyes of the road briefly "You didn't make me walk out, I choose to walk after you I couldn't let you go like that" he actually managed to make me smile "But an explanation would be nice"
"It's complicated"
My prevention technique didn't work "I think I can handle it. Plus, we have a long drive"
I get more comfortable in my seat and prepare to give away the least amount of information as possible "A few months ago I was screwed over by someone who I trusted. It broke me in a way, but it just made me stronger. Axel and Blake weren't happy and took matters into their own hands"
"Is that who Tyler is?"
I rest my arm on the inside door handle and stare out of the window "Yes"
"What did he do?" he asked as if he knew he shouldn't
"I'm not going into it"
He nodded his head accepting the fact I'm stubborn.
"I'm sure he deserved what he got"
I wanted to explain but I couldn't, letting another person in means inevitable hurt. I also wanted to tell him to quit hitting his thumbs against the steering wheel to every song but I didn't.

He pulled into a fancy looking building, it looked ancient, but still fancy.
"St. Andrews?" I question
He turned the ignition off and glanced over at me "It's my old school, I need to pick a few things up"
I start laughing avoiding eye contact "What?" he groans
"Nothing, I just didn't expect you to go to a private school"
"HAHA" He mocks "now get out my car" I raise my eyebrows in disbelief that he just bossed me around like that.
Stepping foot into a private school was more eventful than I thought. The amount of attention at our school was nothing compared to this.
The students stared as if they've never seen a denim jacket in their lives. Some were dazed and some looked like they would pray for our sins when they got home. If only they knew, what we do. I thrived on the whispers.
"No way, SKYE!" I looked to see who the hell knew me.
My mood turned upside down, I split from Grayson and ran to the tall messy haired blonde waiting for me with a dazzling smile "BRODY" he held me tightly, we moved side to side still hugging.
He pulled back still holding my arms "What are you doing here?"
Grayson finally caught up now standing next to me "Grayson needed to do something so I came for a ride"
He wiggles his eyebrows suggestively "What kind of ride?"
"Dude, we're just friends"
I cock my head "Ehh, more like acquaintances" correcting him. Just because he did me one favour doesn't mean we're friends, it just makes me dislike him slightly less.
I smirk knowing I can annoy him "I've got to say Brody, I didn't take you for the uniform type"
He nudges my shoulder "Are you shitting me? I had to fight so bad just to be able to wear black jeans" He did look better than the rest. Compared to everyone else he did stand out. You wouldn't catch me dead wearing their uniform.
"I've got to clear my locker" We follow Grayson while he clears his stuff.
A preppy looking guy stood in front of me. His beige chinos and pastel green shirt made me want to throw up, whoever designed it must have been blind
"What's a beautiful girl like you doing with these two?" he looked between Grayson and Brody like they are the scum of the earth, which doesn't sit well with me.
"Opposed to being with someone who looks like they just walked out of a country club?"
Grayson and Brody both choked on a laugh, he was lost for words but his ultra-rich kid came out "When you want to taste of class, you know where to find me" he winked making me gag on the inside, Grayson's wink was way more appealing.
"Back of"
"Calm down Brody" I move my arm just in front of his chest preventing him from lunging at him.
"Besides, he's just having fun, aren't you Johnny?"
Any colour he had in his face had vanished "How...how do you know my name?" He asks stumbling over his words.
I smile leaning towards him, I slowly whisper in his ear "Because I'm Skye Red"
He pulled back with dilated eyes and uneven breath. He eventually picked up his feet and scurried down the hall most likely wishing that never happened.
My body leans back against the lockers as I contain my laughter , I loved having power over boys especially these types of boys.
"You don't change do you X?"
I shake my head at a pearly white smile Brody had formed. I always overlooked him. He's handsome, smart and has a deadly edge to him. My kind of person.
"I don't intend to, but I should probably go before Chinos rat me out"
I push myself of the lockers and walk away "Don't be a stranger Brody"
Shit! I don't have the keys. Great, now I have to stand here and wait like a child.
Going home should be fun. I feel another argument on the horizon.
