KHANARIE
He is the least I think of as of the moment because there is this dreadful knot inside my stomach that I couldn't explain. But I have to endure it.
I took a deep breath and open the door of my room. I heave a sigh. As expected, she's here. All bright and messy all over again.
"Khana, ito na ballgown mo!"
I frown at the ballgown she is giving me. I ask her for a dress that is light to wear, not a balloon full of puffs and unending petticoats. It limits my movements.
"A ballgown? Mabigat 'yan! I request for something else! Something light!" I was cut off immediately.
"Ayaw mo suotin?" She use her puppy eyes on me.
Narie, she is faking it. Narie, those eyes are devious. Narie...
"Fine! Give it to me, Khei." Tumalon-talon pa siya sa tuwa at niyakap ako. "Hoy! 'Yung dress na gawa mo magugusot!" Suway ko pa rito.
"Ah!" "Use it for the wedding, okay?"
I sigh and smile inside my head. "Of course, you made this for me, Khei."
"I'll see you around, Khana!" Tumalikod na siya at daling umalis.
"Get some rest! You hear me?! Don't burnout your body so much, Kheilanie!" Habol kong wika rito. She was asleep for two days when I check up on her to ask about my clothes for the wedding.
"Yes, I will! Thank you for your concern, love!" I sigh again in defeat and just smiled.
"Why does it have to be peach? She could have given me a darker shade like Viera's."
I wore the petticoat first, followed by the corset.
"Excuse me? There's a door!"
"I-I'm sorry!"
"Stop using the window as a goddamn door!"
"Sorry. But can I hide here for a few minutes? I'm running away from someone and..." There was a dead air between us and I was annoyed.
"Hey! Care to share your thoughts, Codhille? You're like a statue there." Napailing naman siya nang matauhan na ito.
"Yeah, um, need help with that, General Wainwright?" "You seem to be struggling."
"I don't need your help!"
"Are you sure?"
"I am sure. Now, leave me alone."
Tsk! Nakakainis! What a nuisance.
