Order of the Phoenix
I watch as Neville is Apparated to safety. I can barely stand but I ignore it. I dodge another spell. "STUPEFY!" I hit an order member "PETRIFICUS TOTALUS!" I hit another member "EXPELLIARMUS!" I disarm another order member. I'm blind with rage, pain, and guilt. Lucius wakes up and looks at me. "Maybe you aren't as incompetent as I thought." He says. We both dodge a spell coming from behind us. Harry and Sirius begin casting more spells at us and we are now dueling. "EXPELLIARMUS!" Both me and Harry yell. Luscius' wand goes flying out of his hand and so does Sirius'
"Stupefy!" Harry yells at Lucius, who goes flying back a few feet. I point my wand at the two infront of me. Sirius leans over to lower Harry's wand. "Serenity, sweet heart. I know you won't hurt us." Sirius says. I hold my ground. Moving my wand from pointing to Harry and back to Sirius. Tears are staining my cheeks and I'm breathing incredibly hard and loud. I'm scared. Disoriented. I'm not sure where I stand with either side.
"Serenity dear, I know you are good, like your parents were. Put the wand down. Come with us." He pleads "No I can't, I can't put him in danger, I can't leave Draco. I can't win. I have to." I desperately say.
"Kill me." I say in Harry's head. He looks at me in shock.
"If I betray them, they will punish Draco. If I come with you, they will find us and kill you all, kill Neville." I plead "Kill me." I say again. "No darling, we won't let that happen I promise." Sirius says. Walking toward me slowly. I point my wand at him. "Kill me now Harry." I beg inside Harry's head. I close my eyes and think of all the memories I had with Neville over the year, the pain I felt at the mansion, the pain I would feel lying to him and betraying him. I place all these memories in Harry's head.
"Do it!" Bellatrix yells gleefully from behind me. "Kill him!" She yells again I point my wand to Sirius' neck "No." I say outloud. I fall to my knees and Bellatrix points her wand at me. "Avada-" she begins but Harry is too quick. "EXPELLIARMUS!" He yells disarming her, she runs away and Harry chases her.
I look up to meet Sirius' gaze. "Never doubt yourself sweetheart." He says. Just then a flash of green light hits him and he falls back. I quickly turn around to see Lucious back on his feet with his wand pointed at where Sirius was standing. "Cmon." He says as we Apparate back to the Manor.
We arrive in the mansion and somehow Draco is already there waiting for us. He runs up to me and hugs me so tight. He pulls away to look at me and see if I was hurt. "I'm fine Draco." I say pulling his hands off of me. "What the hell happened?" He asks. "It doesn't concern you son!" Lucius spat and he grabs my wrist and drags me away. "It does concern me father! Serenity is family." Draco yells back at him. Lucius turns around and slaps Draco's cheek "How dare you speak to me like that!" He says. "She has failed her mission, she will be punished for it." Lucius states. "No." Draco says. "KNOW YOUR PLACE!" Lucius yells. I hear fear in his voice, it only have I failed but he has as well. Lucius grabs my hair and drags me to the dungeons.
I'm not sure how much time passes but I hear footsteps run down the stone steps. I look up to see Draco fiddle quickly with the keys, shaking and almost dropping them a few times. The door finally unlocks and he swings it open harshly. He runs to me again pulling me into another bone crushing hug. "I'm so sorry." He sobs. "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry Serenity." We fall to our knees but we don't pull apart. I rub circles on his back. "I know Blondie, it's ok, we'll get through it ok? Together." I say. "He's coming back in a week. You need to leave." He says. "Who?" I ask "The dark lord. He is going to punish you. You have to leave. I'll owl Neville! You'll be safe somewhere else." He says. "No Draco, I'm not leaving you. I can't." I exclaim. "You have to, I can't lose you Serenity. You are all I have." He begs. "Exactly the reason I'm staying." I say. "Where is your father?" I ask
"I sent an anonymous owl." He said rather guilty. "I got him arrested." He then admits.
