The voice of Draco Malfoy rang through our ears. In an instant I'm pinned against the nearest wall. The blonde boy has me dangling off the ground with his hands on my collar. "Draco, where did you?" Serenity exclaims. Her head and eyes are darting around like crazy. No idea what's going on or what to do.
"You were trying to pressure Leaf into sex when you were drunk!?!? With what is going on right now!?! Are you crazy!?!? Do you have a death wish Longbottom!!?!" Draco keeps yelling at me. "No I-" "It's not like that-" "She didn't mean-" I keep trying to get words in but he isn't listening to me. And he keeps putting more and more pressure on my airway. He pulls his arm back to punch me and I close my eyes to brace for impact.
"STOP!"
Serenity yells. She is holding Draco's arm back. He shakes her off and he drops me to the ground. I grip my throat in a coughing fit, gasping for air. Serenity runs to my side helping me find my footing and Draco is just angrily pacing the dorm room. "Where have you been!?!? And why are you even here right now?" Serenity yells at him. "I came to fetch, we are going to the mansion." He scoffs "How did you even get in here?" I stupidly ask. "I sleep here sometimes." He replies. "You what!??" I exclaim angrily "Not with her you dimwit, the Slytherin dorms are just not the most comforting... why are you trying to sleep with my sister?" He counters
Astoria had started this brother and sister trend and I still wasn't used to it. "I wasn't trying to it just happend, we got really drunk and we-" "You would have sex with a girl who is drunk? I'm a death eater and I know that's wrong." Draco huffs at me. "Hey it's a two person job." Serenity adds, attempting to remind Draco that it was her doing as well. "Don't remind me." He scoffs and he rubs his temples. He seems to be calming down a little.
"I'm sorry." "What?" Neville and I speak in unison. "I'm sorry." Draco repeats. "I'm just really on edge, that stuff is none of my business. I'm sorry." "Draco...." Serenity starts. "Where have you been? Serenity has been worried sick about you and then you come in here like you own the place? You guys don't have much time left before-" I trail off. "I know. Say your goodbyes Serenity, we leave in 30 minutes." Draco says calmly. Then he walks out without looking back.
"Well that was awkward." Serenity jokes. "Brother? Sister? I'll never get used to that.. isn't it a bit weird?" I ask "Slightly, but that's how I always saw him. I'm glad he feels the same way." She smiles. I smile back at her. "So I guess I'm going to the Manor." "I guess so."
An awkward silence fills the room. Serenity starts quietly packing her bag as I just sit quietly on her bed and watch. Time is running out. Now she has to leave. On top of that I'm sure her trip won't be pleasant, I know she knows that yet she smiles and cheerfully packs anyway. "How do you smile? Through all this I mean?" I ask. She pauses. Her back is facing me. She slowly continues packing folding her clothing in her hands. "Because I have you Nev." she finally says. She finishes packing, kisses me on the cheek. And just like that she is gone.

Draco and I apparate to the manor after exiting the castle. I'm still not used to apparating but it is a hell of a lot quicker than the train. Draco grabs my trunk and starts towards the door. He turns around when he notices I'm not following. "Aren't you coming?" He asks. "Give me a minute." I say. He thinks about it but nods and enters the mansion without me.
I just stand there staring at the large, dark, lonely house that I've called home my whole life. It's so cold, unwelcoming. How did I live here for so long? How did I live all those years thinking I was happy? I didn't know true happiness until Hogwarts, until Draco accepted me as his sister, until my friends, until Neville. Things are so different now. I'd go anywhere but here. I pull the left sleeve of my sweater up to peek at my tattoo. It seems so out of place on my untouched skin.
I take in a deep breath of air and hold it. Then I let it out as slowly as I can. Okay. I'm ready for whatever faces me in that cold dark home of mine.
"NOT GOOD ENOUGH!" "CRUCIO!"
The dark lord was not happy about where Draco was with his task. Actually he was furious. I watch in horror as Draco screams in pain on the marble floor. I'm holding back everything in my body to not drop to the ground and help him. To hold him in my arms. Tell him everything will be ok. Then the dark lord stops.
"Dear Serenity, don't be so soft he deserves it." The dark lord coos at me. Tears roll down my cheeks as I see Dracos lifeless body on the floor. I can hear his raspy breaths. Good he is alive I think to myself. "Tears are for the weak. Are you weak?" The dark lord asks. "No." I say calmly. I need to pull myself together. "Good. Clean this mess up. I want the task done by January." The dark lord sternly speaks. And with a snap he is apparated out of the mansion.
I fall quickly to the floor and scoop the blonde boy into my arms. "Draco!! Draco wake up!! Speak to me blondie!!" I yell, shaking him awake. hoping to hear any sort of words or speaking so I know he is ok. "I'm sorry Leaf, I should have tried harder." He speaks in a raspy voice. "Shhhhh no it's ok. You are ok. Let's get you to bed." I say. "Narcissa!!! Mumsy quick!!" I yell. Narcissa bursts through the door. "Oh dear! Oh dear!" She says. "Narcissa calm down he is fine just help me bring him to his bed." I yell annoyed at her. "Yes. Oh yes." She says before helping me lift Draco to his room.
We finally get Draco to his bed, I tuck him into his sheets and place a wet cloth on his forehead. "Anything else sweetie?" Narcissa asks Draco "Mother just leave. Please." He croaks out. Narcissa runs out of the room, she is stressed and worried for her son. I feel bad for her. I start to get up and exit the room as well. "No Serenity, please stay. Stay with me." He says. Almost too quiet to hear. "Oh ok." I say. I make my way to the side of the bed again. I move some of his hair to the side. "I miss her Serenity. I miss her but I can't put her through this." He says to me. Watching as I continue to fix his hair and caress his face. "I know love. I know. She misses you too. You will be together again." I say "Promise?"
"I promise. We will all be a big happy family. Soon."
