I Love Plants {a Neville Longbottom story}

We arrive back at the Gryffindor common room with almost every candy you could think of from Honeydukes, it's nice living with a rich family sometimes.
"Well C'mon then." Neville says as he walks up to the boys dorms. Waving his hand to follow him.
"Oh. Okay." I say nervously, but I follow him anyway.

Dean is with Ginny in Hogsmeade and so is Ron and Harry. Seamus is in the hospital wing, so it's just me and Neville in his room. That makes me terribly nervous so when he walks through his door I just pause in the doorway.
"Ren you ok?" Neville asks, looking at me with a worried face as he lays out candy on his bed.
"Aren't you coming in?"
"Uhm.... well we are alone." I say
"Wouldn't be the first time but yes good observation." He replies
"In your room. With your bed." I say
"Oh... OH!" He exclaims, all the pieces finally fitting together in his head. He throws up his hands in defense.
"Don't worry R-Ren I wasn't th-thinking like that!" He exclaims. His face is bright red and he is stuttering again which tells me he is nervous.

I nod and make my way over to his bed and sit on it with his and start opening a chocolate frog.

She sits infront of me and starts eating a chocolate frog. I can't believe I didn't think of how weird it would be if we were in my room alone. I had been so comfortable around her I hadn't thought of the possibility of making her uncomfortable. Of course I've thought about doing it with her but I really don't think right now is the correct time for that.
"Elladora Ketteridge, how fitting." She smiles while holding up the collectible wizard card she got from her frog.
I smile at her and nod. Now I'm uncomfortable.
She leans in and gives me a quick kiss on my cheek.
"I'm sorry I made things weird." She says
"No! Serenity I'm sorry." I reply
We both smile at each other and laugh.

"Can I kiss you?" I barely say before Serenity leans in and starts kissing me passionately.
I reach over and hold her face in my palms. No matter how many times we kiss it still feels just as magical as the first time. I reach down for her hips and pull her so she is sitting closer to me

I wrap my arms around her middle. She plays with the back of my hair. I slowly inch my tongue into her mouth and she massages it with her tongue. We break apart so we can breathe. I hate that I have to breathe air sometimes. Not wanting the taste of her to leave my mouth I dive in to kiss her neck. She exhales loudly. I kiss up and down her neck until I get to her ear. "I love you." I whisper
"I love you too."

Just then an owl pecks at the window. All black. Draco's.

"Why is Draco owling you at such an odd time?" I ask
"I don't know." She says with a worried look plastered on her face. She rushes to the owl and takes the note. Her hands are shaking as she reads the note.

"I have to go Neville, I'm sorry." She says as she rushed out the door.

I told that boy to keep her out of things. He better have a damn good reason to be talking to her right now.

I rush to the room of requirement to meet Draco.
I look down at the note again.

Serenity
I muffed up bad
I think Harry knows
Please meet me in the room of requirement please I need your help!

Draco

I bust through the door and yell out for him.
"Draco!?? Draco where are you?"
I hear loud breathing coming from behind the couch in the room. I look behind it and I see Draco. He is practically hyperventilating, holing his knees to his chest. I slide into the space next to him.
"Draco what happened?" I say placing my hand on his knee to comfort the boy.

"I found a necklace over summer, a necklace that is hexed. Whoever wears it would die but if you touch it it's possible you die too if you don't get help almost instantly." He says
I nod to show I'm listening. He looks at me and tears pool in his eyes.
"I thought maybe if I had Dumbledore receive it, he would touch it. I knew he wouldn't be stupid enough to wear it. But maybe this could keep me from really having to kill him? I'm not sure. I wasn't thinking straight." Draco says, tears are rushing down his cheeks now.
"I used the Imperius curse on Katie bell. I told her to bring the necklace to the headmasters office. But-but- Serenity I'm so stupid! I didn't tell her not to touch it!" He hurries his face in his knees and starts sobbing.
"I never wanted to hurt anyone Serenity, you know that right? I'm not a bad person. I can't do this I can't do it Serenity!" She says through sobs.

"Draco you said Harry knows, how does he know?" I ask as I pull him into a hug.
"He saw Katie and I come out of the same bathroom in three broomsticks." He finally is able to get out through his sobbing and breathing.
"Draco c'mere it's ok, I can fix this don't worry, it's ok." I say as I run circles on his back. I really don't know if I can fix this but I'd do anything for Draco. He was my only family. I'd die for him to be completely honest. I should have never left him to do this alone.

I finally get Draco to his dorm and leave him with Astoria.

I have a plan. And it includes more lying.
