I'm sitting in the great hall for dinner with my Gryffindor mates. I tried cornering Draco on the train but he still wouldn't spill anything to me and left with an evil smirk on his face. I hoped it wasn't the fact that they were dating, Draco had gone on and on all summer saying I didn't have to help him owl her anymore and that she was owling him non stop love letters everyday. He knew that would make me angry, as we both confided in having a crush on her during one of our letter passing sessions in 2nd year. How can I compete with him? He was just as tall as me but far more handsome, plus his family had money and power. I must have been staring because Ginny nudged me and winked at me
"are we in love with Malfoy?" She whispered as Dumbledore went on and on about some competition. "Not in a million years weasley." I exclaimed with a smile on my face.
I'm brought to my senses when I hear Dumbledore say the word "Beauxbatons"
"Wait what did he say?" I ask Seamus.
"Serenity's school is here, and the school that Krum is in!" He says
"They are competing in the Triwizard tournament" Ron adds in with an excited smile.
"Wait, Serenity is he-" just then I'm interrupted by the great hall doors opening and Beauxbatons girls float in. They are all wearing bright blue and glide on the floor beautifully. Once near our part of the table they bow and let out a beautiful sigh. I make eye contact with the girl closest to me, she lifts her head up and her eyes meet mine, and with a wink she is gone. Serenity Locks is back in Hogwarts.
I think I just about fainted.
"Woah man" I feel Seamus hold me up and I'm brought back to reality, I actually almost fainted. I hadn't seen Ren in so many years and when her gorgeous eyes met mine it was like no time passed at all but also it felt different. My heart stopped beating and it was like we were the only ones in the room. What was this weird feeling?
Dumbstrong, or whatever their name is, arrived but I had my eyes locked on Serenity. She was sitting at the end of the Ravenclaw table, eyes locked on mine with a mischievous smile on her face. "Surprised?" I see her mouth out. I feel my face go as red as Ginny's hair. "Yes" I mouth back. She then looks across the hall meeting someone else's eyes and she gives a light wave, but it isn't Draco she is looking at. It's Cedric.
How could I forget about Cedric? Ren is sticking her tongue out at him playfully and he puts his hands up like he is taking a picture of her and they both laugh.
They would look really good together, I think to myself.
"NOOOO!" I hear everyone roar, "wait what happened?" I ask Harry
"you have to be 17 the enter the tournament, are you even listening Neville? You don't look so good.
I thought you would be happy to see her?" Harry replies. "yeah I mean look at her! She is drop dead gorgeous!" Ron exclaims, Hermione elbows him on the ribs.
"That's the problem." I say to myself as I stare longingly at her again. Something bumps my hand and I look down to see Phib the toad. He has a note in his mouth with a small heart on it, I open the tiny note. Miss me? Xoxo Ren I look up to see Ren smirking at me and she shoots me another wink.
