Deathly Hallows

The split seconds of watching Draco fall while unable to do absolutely anything made me feel every wave of emotion. I watched as Blaise disappeared into the flames. I wanted to turn away from watching Draco fall but just as that thought flashed in my mind a broom shot past me.

Harry was able to grab Draco and pull him on to his broom safely. The relief that washed over me was quickly replaced with violent coughing as I had taken in far too much smoke. I felt a strong arm pull me up and I blindly wrapped my arms around the person on the broom infront of me.

We are able to just make it out of the room of requirement before it is completely destroyed by the flames. I look around to see that Hermione, Ron, and Harry had flown Draco and I to safety. The 5 of us being the only ones to escape.
"Thank you." Draco huffs as he pulls me to stand.
"Don't worry about it." Harry replies almost just as hostile.

I want to say something but the coughing doesn't let up. My daughter's safety crosses my mind.
"Hubar, I need Hubar." I say in a raspy voice.
Draco nods and rushes me down the hall. I turn slightly to see that the trio has run off to finish their own tasks.

...

Seamus and I are finally able to make our way to the great hall. Finding it hard to even move down one corridor without meeting face to face with at least 3 death eaters. Seamus was able to find Luna along the way although it seemed she was handling herself just fine.

We see that there are many injured in the hall, Hubar and Madam Pomfrey attending to everyone as much as they can.

"This is a message for Harry Potter."

Everyone reacts to the voice streaming through our minds. It isn't painful but not exactly pleasant either. Nothing like when Serenity speaks to me telepathically.

"Your friends have fought bravely for you but now is the time to give yourself up. All death eaters retreat. Too much pure blood has been spilled. Harry Potter, give yourself up and no one else will be hurt."

The voice subsided but the fear infecting everyone doesn't go away. Students are murmuring and there are many cries of worry. I scan the room to see a familiar family. They are all huddled over someone. I feel the force of George Weasley push me aside and run towards them.
"That's Fred laying over there." Luna softly says. Seamus puts an arm around her to comfort her.

I want to feel for my fallen friend but I'm unable to because I still haven't been able to spot Serenity, and I feel in the back of my head that something is wrong. I rush over to Hubar whom is patching up a student.

"Hubar have you seen Serenity?" I ask. He quickly turns around to meet my gaze but then turns back to continue his work on the student.
"Ow!" The student exclaims.
"Oh come off it, this isn't the worst I've seen tonight." Hubar interjects.
"She came back after getting the supplies but went after someone afterwords. She took out like a dozen death eaters on her own from what I've heard, I'm sure she is fine mate." He finally replies.

"HELLENBERG!" The voice of Draco Malfoy yells from the entrance of the hall. Our attention now completely on the blonde boy. When we look closely though we see he is dragging the one person we hoped was okay in that moment.

Hubar and I stare and race over to Malfoy and Serenity.
"What happened!?!?" I exclaim as I take her head and place it in my lap.
"She took in too much smoke." Draco replies.
"Shit that's not good." Hubar adds.
"It's just smoke though right? She is going to be fine?" I question. Draco and I look to Hubar for a positive reply, but he just looks at us with worry and almost... guilt.

"You dumb git I said she took in too much smoke why are you touching her stomach?" Draco scoffs as Hubar lays both hands on her middle. He pulls up her shirt and touches both hands to her bare skin and my face grows warm.
"Hubar- wha- what ar- are you doing?" I stutter.

"Oh thank Merlin!" He exclaims. Draco and I look at each other confused. Then Hubar waves his wand gently. Smoke begins to slowly exit her mouth with each flick of his wrist. Finally the last bit is released and Serenity eyes shoot open and she gasps for air.

"Serenity, you're ok, it's ok!" I say as I take her face in my hands and look down at her. Her expression softens as she looks at me, but then concern washes over her. She looks to Hubar.
"Is she ok? Is she fine?" She asks rapidly.
He gently holds her hand is his.
"She is perfectly fine, strong like someone else I know." He replies. He glances up at me and gives me a wink before striding off to help more injured.

"Who could you possibly be worried about in a moment like this you- you- dummy!" Draco exclaims. He is trying to sound angry but we could all tell he was simply just worried.
"Hah Draco, you didn't cry about me did you?" She teases. His face gets red and his anger grows more.
"No! I did not! But I had to carry your heavy ass all the way here and I didn't want it to be for nothing." He replies while crossing his arms.

"Since we have a moment." Serenity says, sounding a little more serious than before. "I have something I need to tell both of you. Before, before, well you know. Something goes wrong."

Draco and I look to her, waiting for her next words.

"I'm pregnant." She finally says.

All the color that Draco Malfoy had in his pale face was now completely gone. He was quiet for a split second but then was now ranting angrily about how stupid she was to be fighting in a war right now and how completely daft she was to follow him into a quarrel.

I on the other hand was now looking into her eyes as she looked back at me with worry, waiting for me to reply. I didn't know how to reply. On one hand I was just as mad as Draco was, how could she put so much on the line? But on the other hand I was unbelievably excited and happy.

"Ah so you know?" A voice coos from behind Draco.
"I was wondering when you would figure it out, and knowing you, I knew you couldn't wait till after this damned war to tell Neville. I'm glad we get to add two more strong women to our family!"
